## Admissions

B.Sc. Nautical Science is a 3-year regular English-medium programme at AMET’s Kanathur university campus in Chennai. The degree is residential and includes maritime medical and entrance conditions.

Meet the following programme-specific conditions; a listed qualification does not itself guarantee admission.

- Recognized Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English separately; at least 60% PCM and 50% English at Class 10 or 12.
- SC/ST: 5 percentage-point PCM relaxation. A 5-point English relaxation applies only to specified native island Scheduled Tribe applicants whose parents were also born in and belong to those island tribes.
- The island English concession is for Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; ordinary SC/ST status does not relax the English minimum.
- Qualify IMU CET or IIT-JEE/state engineering entrance examination with the published minimum 40 percentile; at least 60% of sanctioned intake is assigned to IMU CET admissions.

1. Apply through the university’s official UG application portal.
2. Upload the required recent JPEG photograph, signature and readable qualification records; retain the application number and acknowledgement.
3. Complete AMET CET and the published external maritime entrance requirement; shortlisted candidates undergo medical assessment by a DG Shipping-approved doctor.
