Fee notes: AMU's live, currently-maintained FAQ page states tuition of USD 6,000/year plus a USD 5,000/year preparatory-course fee. A separate official Dean's Office PDF document instead shows USD 5,000/year for the 6-year Basic Medical Education programme -- both are genuine AMU-published figures, not third-party estimates, but they conflict; the live FAQ page's figure is used here as the more currently maintained source. Total is calculated as the annual figure times 6 years -- an estimate, not an officially published lump sum, and does not include the preparatory-course fee or interview fee (USD 100). Confirm the current applicable rate directly with AMU before committing.

## Teaching phases

- 6-year General Medicine programme, with an international preparatory phase (English (also available in Azerbaijani and Russian)): International applicants typically complete a preparatory/foundation course (approximately 5-6 months, sources vary) in their language of instruction plus Biology, Chemistry and Physics, before formally entering Year 1 of the 6-year General Medicine curriculum leading to the Physician qualification. A detailed year-by-year preclinical/clinical breakdown was not published by the university.
