- Pass recognised 10+2, NIOS with at least five subjects, or an accepted equivalent qualification.
- Alternatively, a three- or four-year diploma recognised by AICTE or a State Board after Class 10 can qualify.
- Regular undergraduate applicants must be under 24 on 1 August of the admission year; SC, ST and PwD applicants receive a five-year relaxation.
- Applicants using a foreign qualification must obtain the required equivalence; international-category applicants need working knowledge of English.
- For the separate foreign-national/NRI/OCI/PIO/SAARC category, the undergraduate age must also be under 24 on 1 August of the admission year; do not assume the regular-category relaxation applies to this separate route.
