## Admissions

A two-year international interdisciplinary M.Tech at IIT Madras. Robotics foundations, manipulator control, electives and supervised project work draw on multiple engineering departments.

These requirements apply to the documented admission route. Qualifications, entrance tests and nationality/category rules must be assessed together.

- International applicants need a recognised four-year engineering bachelor’s, a science bachelor’s with honours(3+1 years), or a relevant science master’s with five total years of study.
- A standalone three-year bachelor’s degree is not eligible. The department assesses subject relevance and academic preparedness for the chosen interdisciplinary programme.
- Use the Global Engagement application portal and its ICCR application-number requirement. Department selection may involve a test, interview or further documents.
- GATE is not generally mandatory for the international route. If the qualifying degree was not taught in English, provide IELTS overall 6.5 or TOEFL overall 80.
- Have a passport/national ID, complete transcripts and degree records, with certified English translations for documents in another language.
