## Admissions

The IIT Madras MBA is a two-year full-time residential management degree combining classroom study, case discussion, management internship and project work. Domestic and foreign-national applicants use different test routes.

These requirements apply to the documented admission route. Qualifications, entrance tests and nationality/category rules must be assessed together.

- Hold a recognised degree in any discipline or UGC-recognised equivalent professional qualification, with First Class or at least 60%;55% for SC/ST/PwD.
- Indian regular applicants require a valid CAT 2025 score for the 2026 cohort. Foreign nationals use a valid GMAT score under their separate route.
- An IIT undergraduate degree with CGPA≥8/10 gives CAT exemption. Sponsored applicants need the documented experience/sponsorship route; defence exemption is category-specific.
- Shortlisting considers test score, academics, work experience and the stated diversity factors. Final selection uses reflective writing and personal interview.
