Fee notes: Tuition is INR 7,00,000 a year. The law degrees carry their own residential rates, higher than the rest of the university: accommodation charges of INR 2,32,000 a year and other allied service charges of INR 1,48,900 a year covering food, laundry, security, housekeeping and electricity, giving a residential year of INR 10,80,900 before the one-time refundable security deposit of INR 50,000. Tuition, accommodation and allied service charges are each subject to an annual increase of ten percent, which compounds materially over a five-year degree. JGU applies the same schedule to Indian, NRI and international applicants and publishes no separate foreign-national rate. Merit-cum-means scholarships at Jindal Global Law School are awarded to students qualifying through LNAT-UK, subject to the parental income tax return criteria the university defines.

## Teaching phases

- Credit structure (students enrolled from 2025-26 onwards) (English): 210 credits in total: two English courses (8 credits), ten compulsory arts and humanities courses (40 credits), arts and humanities electives (8 credits), twenty-eight compulsory law courses (112 credits), law electives (16 credits), four compulsory clinical courses (16 credits) and five compulsory internships (10 credits). Credits from permitted co-curricular activity count towards the total.
- Years 1 to 3 - foundations and core law (English): Legal Methods, English, Political Science, Sociology, History, Economics, Psychology and Gender, Caste and Society alongside Law of Torts, Law of Contracts I and II, Family Law I and II, Constitutional Law I and II, Property Law, Company Law I and II, Jurisprudence I and II, Civil Procedure, Administrative Law, Alternate Dispute Resolution and Public International Law. Criminal law courses follow the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam.
- Clinical work and internships (English): Four compulsory clinical courses plus five compulsory internships, including at least one under Trial and Appellate Advocates, with Moot Court Exercise and Internship carrying credit in multiple semesters. Internship routes named for this programme include corporate teams, law firms, start-ups, advisory and legal consultancies, chartered accountancy, company secretary and CFA firms, international law firms and international organisations.
