Fee notes: JGU charges Indian, NRI and international applicants the same fee; there is no separate foreign-national rate. Tuition is INR 6,00,000 a year. Residential charges add INR 2,31,100 a year and other allied service charges, covering food, laundry, security, housekeeping and electricity, add INR 1,24,900 a year, so a residential year costs INR 9,56,000 before the one-time refundable security deposit of INR 50,000. JGU states that tuition, residential and allied service charges are subject to an annual increase of ten percent, so later years cost more than the first. The security deposit is refunded on completion of studies or on receipt of a No Dues Certificate and carries no interest.

## Teaching phases

- Years 1 and 2 - foundation (English): Twenty foundation courses across communication skills, mathematics, statistics and data analysis, economics, philosophy, literature, psychology, sociology, expressive and performing arts, environment and sustainable development, design thinking and two semesters of Spanish.
- Year 3 - major and electives (English): Major courses and cross-listed electives, with an optional semester abroad at a partner university and a thesis seminar. Specialisations include digital humanities, comparative religion, economics, environment and sustainable development, expressive arts, sociology and anthropology, history, international business, psychology, literary studies, philosophy, and political science and international relations.
- Year 4 - research or coursework pathway (English): Students choose a research pathway with an advanced methods course and a two-part thesis, or a coursework pathway with advanced electives and a capstone project. Five internships, mixed academic and corporate, run across the degree.
