## Teaching phases

- Terms 1 and 2 - core public health (English): Foundations in Public Health and Human Development covering history, principles and practice of public health and human rights and health, followed by epidemiology and biostatistics, health systems, public health nutrition, management for health, social, behavioural and structural determinants of health, and research methods in public health.
- Terms 3 and 4 - electives and applied work (English): Electives are grouped under six specialisations including human rights and human development, the right to health in law and practice, the role of civil society in healthcare delivery, and political economy and global health. The final term is given to a dissertation, capstone project or community service learning project, alongside an internship.
