## Teaching phases

- Years 1-2: Foundation of Practice (English): Largely pre-clinical Case-Based Learning in small groups, building the programme's Knowledge, Skills and Personal and Professional Identity pillars.
- Year 3: Integration into Practice (English): First hospital-based clinical placements begin across RCSI Bahrain's named teaching hospitals, alongside a 6-week Student Selected Project.
- Years 4-5: Preparation for Practice (English): Year 4 rotates through six-week clinical blocks (Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Medicine and Surgery, Family Medicine, Psychiatry, Paediatrics and Neonatology); Year 5 includes a 24-week Medicine and Surgery block, a 4-week sub-internship, and a 4-week student-selected clinical attachment.
