- Restriction: Taught at SVU's City Campus, 51 GNT Road, Nallur, near the Red Hills toll plaza, Chennai 600067. SVU's statutory main campus is Ettayapuram, Thoothukudi district, and UGC's record for the university lists no approved off-campus centre.

PCI lists the College of Pharmacy, Sri Venkateswaraa University (PCI-8623) among degree institutions approved for conduct of B.Pharm; PCI's August 2025 decision allowed 100 first-year admissions for 2025-26. SVU's fee notification lists a 3-year lateral-entry B.Pharm at the same fee.

## Admissions

B.Pharm at Sri Venkateswaraa University (SVU) is a 4-year degree at the College of Pharmacy, Red Hills, Chennai, listed by PCI as approved for conduct (PCI-8623). SVU admits directly through its online application; D.Pharm holders can join the second year by lateral entry.

SVU publishes no B.Pharm prerequisites of its own, so these are PCI's statutory minimums in the B.Pharm Course Regulations, 2014.

- Pass in 10+2 or an AIU-recognised equivalent with English and Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology
- 10+2 from the National Institute of Open Schooling or other open schooling is not accepted
- At least 17 years old on or before 31 December of the year of admission
- Lateral entry to the second year: pass in D.Pharm from a PCI-approved (section 12) institution

Steps:

1. Fill SVU's online application with your name, email and mobile number
2. Choose the College of Pharmacy and the B.Pharm course (or B.Pharm lateral entry), then submit the form
3. Pay the application fee of INR 1,000 and, on admission, the admission fee of INR 5,000 with the first-year fees

## Teaching phases

- Years 1-4 (8 semesters) (English): PCI B.Pharm syllabus in pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology and pharmacy practice, with at least 150 hours of practical training in a hospital or community pharmacy or in industry after the second year.
