## Admissions

M.Sc. (Ag.) Agricultural Extension Education combines disciplinary coursework and thesis research. The programme lasts two years/four semesters. TNAU assigns coursework and research locations.

- Qualifying study must follow 10+2+4: a four-year farm-science or allied bachelor’s degree.
- The prescribed degree must be from a State Agricultural University, ICAR institute, Central Agricultural University or Government-aided agricultural college.
- Bachelor’s OGPA at least 3.00/4.00 or 6.60/10.00; SC/ST candidates need 6.50/10.00. The same conditions apply to ICAR-allotted candidates.
- Use the programme-specific qualifying degree alternatives below; a similarly named general science or business degree is not automatically accepted.
- Selection is through the TNAU subject entrance examination, held physically at Coimbatore: one hour, 100 marks (75 subject, 15 general agriculture, 10 aptitude).
- Final-semester applicants may upload completed-semester records, but must present the degree/provisional certificate at admission.

Steps:

1. Apply through TNAU’s School of Post Graduate Studies portal and select the exact eligible subject; master’s applicants may choose up to two eligible subjects with separate fees.
2. Upload the required qualifying records and category documents; initial scrutiny determines entrance-test eligibility.
3. Attend the prescribed subject entrance examination at Coimbatore, or follow the separately approved GAT-B route for its named programme.
4. After selection, pay by the notified deadline, surrender original documents and register for the semester at the assigned campus.
