## Teaching phases

- Years 1–3: basic medical studies (Portuguese with English accepted for entry evidence): The official degree description identifies the first three years as the 180-ECTS basic medical-studies cycle within the 12-semester programme. Applicants entering without Portuguese B1 must complete the Faculty's Portuguese-language progression condition by the end of the third year.
