## Why students choose it

- A current School of Arts and Science page lists named undergraduate awards with a three-year duration.
- The university publishes a programme-specific semester tuition table for many Arts and Science degrees.
- The school describes shared laboratory access and subject events alongside classroom study.

## Things to consider

- The linked Arts and Science qualification sheet requires Mathematics and at least 50% in 10+2; Commerce routes additionally require Commerce and Accountancy.
- UGC’s listing states that information called for inspection is still awaited; this does not establish completion of that inspection.
- Confirm the current-cycle qualification conditions, complete charges and exact degree nomenclature before payment.

## Best fit for

- Applicants meeting the published Arts and Science subject, marks and minimum-age conditions.
- Students seeking a three-year own-university undergraduate degree at Samayapuram.
- Applicants comparing computing, commerce, humanities and applied-science study with itemised current fee terms.

## Campus and city

The School of Arts and Science describes student activities, sports participation, academic events and visits alongside classroom study. Its current page lists three-year undergraduate programmes and two-year postgraduate programmes. Students should confirm their exact degree title, school and timetable when accepting an offer. The university’s shared campus also houses professional schools whose entry and approval requirements differ from Arts and Science.

The university is on NH-45, the Trichy–Chennai trunk road, near Samayapuram Toll Plaza in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. Plan travel and accommodation around the Samayapuram teaching campus. Several other institutions use the Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan name, so the legal university name, campus address, course and payment recipient should agree on admission records.

The School of Arts and Science states that its laboratory courses use the School of Engineering and Technology laboratory. The school also records subject events, academic visits and student participation in conferences and sports. Computing, commerce, communication and applied-science programmes have different practical requirements; obtain the current syllabus and assessment arrangements for the exact award. Academic study does not itself confer a regulated professional licence or guarantee an internship, placement or government appointment.

## Hostel, food and safety

The university describes separate accommodation for boys and girls. Its current fee schedule distinguishes air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned rooms, common or attached bathrooms, and occupancy categories from three to eight students. Obtain current vacancies, allotment, room category, payment period, deposits and written refund terms before payment. The listed room charges do not specify their billing period, so confirm the period directly rather than treating them as annual costs.

The official hostel page describes vegetarian and non-vegetarian food and separate food arrangements for students from other states. Confirm the current menu, mess charges and any dietary or allergy needs before joining. Hostel rules require meals in the dining hall and place conditions on outside food; ask the warden for the current rules applicable to the selected residence.

The university’s hostel page describes campus and hostel security and medical support. Students should obtain current emergency, medical and hostel contacts, understand residence rules and confirm travel arrangements for the Samayapuram location. These facilities do not replace an individual assessment of accommodation, transport or medical needs.

The university provides an online application route and admissions contacts for programme and qualification questions. Confirm the current course-specific checklist, subject assessment and itemised payment terms with the university. The currently linked qualification sheet is dated 2025–26, while the separate fee schedule is labelled 2026–27; applicants should request confirmation of the conditions for their own admission cycle.

## Frequently asked questions

### Which Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan institution is this?

This is Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University at Samayapuram, Tiruchirappalli, using dsuniversity.ac.in. It is distinct from similarly named affiliated engineering or Arts and Science colleges, Perambalur deemed institutions and Dayananda Sagar University. Check the exact legal name and campus on your offer.

### How long are these undergraduate degrees?

The current School of Arts and Science page groups these awards under three-year undergraduate programmes. Confirm the exact award title and curriculum on the admission offer; a similarly named four-year course on another page or an aggregator should not be substituted automatically.

### What school qualification is required?

The university’s currently linked 2025–26 qualification sheet requires 10+2 or equivalent with at least 50% marks for all categories and Mathematics as a subject for Arts and Science. It also requires completion of age 17 at undergraduate admission. Obtain written confirmation for the admission cycle you are applying to.

### Do the Commerce degrees have additional subject requirements?

Yes. The linked qualification sheet additionally requires Commerce and Accountancy at +2 for Commerce and related courses. Do not assume the general Arts and Science rule removes these subjects.

### Does the Mathematics rule also apply to BA programmes?

The linked 2025–26 sheet states the Mathematics condition for Arts and Science as a group, without a separate BA exemption. Ask the university to confirm the current-cycle requirement for your exact BA degree before applying if you did not study Mathematics.

### How should I budget for fees?

Many Arts and Science degrees have a named 2026–27 tuition amount per semester. Confirm the number of billable semesters and all additional charges directly. The schedule separately lists a ₹2,000 application fee, ₹10,000 one-time admission fee and ₹5,000 one-time establishment fee; accommodation and its application charge are separate. No full-course total is implied.

### Is teaching language confirmed?

A programme-wide instruction and assessment language has not been established for these degrees. Ask the school for the language arrangements of the exact course, including language papers. The English website or a BA English title does not by itself establish the teaching language of every programme.

### Are accommodation and meals available?

The university describes separate boys’ and girls’ campus logistics, several room categories, and vegetarian and non-vegetarian daily living. Confirm vacancies, room allocation, meal arrangements arrangements, billing periods and written refund terms. Academic admission does not guarantee campus logistics allocation.

### Can an overseas applicant rely on these conditions?

The stated school-entry conditions and local fee table do not establish a separate foreign or NRI admission route. Overseas applicants should obtain a university assessment of qualifications, eligibility, category-specific fees and immigration arrangements before relying on an offer.
