## Admissions

Compare the exact current international degree route, verify eligibility and obtain the next application and fee notice before submitting official documents.

## Why students choose it

- A university with a transport and railway focus in Nanchang.
- A current official catalogue identifying English bachelor’s and master’s routes.
- Published nominal durations and programme-specific HSK4 conditions.

## Things to consider

- The listed June 2026 application deadline has passed.
- Confirm the exact tuition amount because the brochure’s digit grouping is irregular.
- Two English-listed routes also require HSK level 4.

## Best fit for

- Applicants meeting the nationality, residence, qualification and financial-document requirements.
- Under-25 high-school graduates comparing the verified four-year English bachelor’s routes.
- Bachelor’s graduates seeking the verified three-year international master’s routes.

## Campus and city

The university describes a landscaped Nanchang campus with lakes, trees and teaching facilities. International applicants can compare engineering, transport, trade and Chinese-language-related routes, while confirming the exact teaching campus, accommodation and support arrangements for their admitted cohort.

Nanchang is the university’s Jiangxi location. The international admissions office gives its address as 808 East Shuanggang Street in the Economic and Technological Development Zone. Check the actual campus and arrival notice before booking travel or housing.

The university’s current profile describes transport and railway specialisation and institutional links with railway, construction and urban rail organisations. Its Transportation Engineering subject profile discusses railway transport planning, production organisation and management. The Chinese Language Education faculty describes teaching theory and practice, cultural transmission and intercultural communication. These institutional resources do not guarantee a placement, paid internship, overseas practice allocation or employment for an international student; request the actual route study plan.

## Hostel, food and safety

The 2026 international brochure offers twin rooms only, quoted at CNY 4,000 per person per year. Exact room allocation, campus, utilities, deposit, holiday access and subsequent-cohort charges require confirmation in the actual accommodation notice.

Ask the International Student Affairs Office about current campus dining, dietary requirements and the location of the assigned accommodation; a verified halal or special-diet provision is not specified in the current admissions brochure.

Applicants submit a valid medical report and a certificate of no criminal record. Follow the university’s actual registration, health, insurance and residence instructions, and ask about current campus emergency and welfare contacts.

The International Student Affairs Office publishes a named admissions contact and official application portal. Standing admissions rules describe university processing of formal admission, study-visa documentation, registration records and residence formalities.

## Frequently asked questions

### Which English programmes are verified?

The current 2026 catalogue lists five four-year bachelor’s routes and two three-year master’s routes. Chinese Language and Literature and International Chinese Language Education also require HSK level 4. Confirm the next published cycle before applying.

### Are 2026 applications still open?

The brochure’s June 2026 deadline has passed. No exact later intake date or application deadline is verified. Ask the official office for the next call and monitor the university application portal.

### What qualifications are required?

The standing rules require high-school graduation or equivalent for bachelor’s entry and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent for master’s entry. Undergraduate applicants must be under 25; minors need lawful guardian documents for China.

### What English evidence is accepted?

IELTS 5.5, prior education completed entirely in English, or the listed official-English-language basis may be used. TOEFL wording conflicts: one current section says at least 80, another more than 80. Confirm an exact score of 80 with admissions.

### Do English students need Chinese?

Two routes expressly require HSK level 4 at entry: Chinese Language and Literature bachelor’s and International Chinese Language Education master’s. The route rows do not specify a score threshold. Ask for the current teaching, assessment and graduation plan.

### How do nationality and residence rules apply?

The brochure requires foreign passport or nationality evidence held for at least four years and overseas residence in the preceding four years to 30 April. Chinese says two years or more, while English says more than two years. Confirm the boundary and ask the university to assess your documents.

### What is the tuition?

The current brochure prints “RMB 1,6000 per academic year” for both bachelor’s and master’s programmes. The digit grouping is irregular, so obtain written confirmation of the exact payable amount and the next cohort’s fee schedule.

### What other costs are published?

The 2026 brochure quotes twin accommodation at CNY 4,000 per person per year, insurance CNY 800 per person per year, a CNY 450 medical examination and a CNY 400 annual residence-permit charge. Check actual later-cohort costs and billing conditions.

### Are scholarships guaranteed?

No. The university competitively recommends eligible high-performing students for provincial international-student scholarships under the year’s criteria and quotas. Provincial authorities decide final results. The doctoral tuition waiver is not a bachelor’s or master’s waiver.

### How is an application submitted?

Register through the official ECJTU international application portal, upload the required documents and attend the online interview. The system announces interview arrangements. Monitor official messages and retain control of your application and payments.

### What extra documents do master’s applicants need?

In addition to qualifications, language evidence, passport, bank certificate, medical report, police certificate, application form and photo, master’s applicants submit a CV and a study plan of at least 600 words. Programme-specific HSK evidence applies where stated.

### Which campus will I attend?

The international office publishes the university address at 808 East Shuanggang Street, Nanchang. The current brochure does not allocate each programme to an exact campus or classroom. Confirm the teaching and twin-room location in the admission notice.

### Who handles official admissions enquiries?

Christina CUI at the International Student Affairs Office, International School: intl@ecjtu.edu.cn, +86-791-87045364. The current brochure uses this university email; the older 2022 prospectus lists a different email and should not control current routing.
