Applicants must satisfy qualification and route-specific nativity or exception rules. Students Traffic can help assess eligibility and prepare the counselling checklist. ## Why students choose it - Compare core engineering with specialised computing, biotechnology and robotics degrees at the same Ramapuram campus. - Consider the TCS-linked Computer Science and Business System programme when comparing computing awards. - Plan accommodation using separately stated room, electricity and meal arrangements charges rather than a single unexplained total. ## Things to consider - TNEA access depends on nativity, schooling or a specified exception; Indian nationality alone does not establish eligibility. - The verified route is academic-stream government-quota admission, not unrestricted international or management-quota access. - Room, electricity and meal arrangements are separate annual charges; tuition and other compulsory charges need their own fee plan. ## Best fit for - Applicants with higher-secondary mathematics, physics and chemistry who meet the applicable TNEA academic and category rules. - Students seeking a Ramapuram, Chennai engineering campus with campus logistics or college-transport options. - Applicants comparing a specific computing specialisation with conventional civil, mechanical, electrical or electronics engineering. ## Campus and city Student clubs and support for innovation and start-ups form part of campus life at Ramapuram. The college also offers a semester-abroad programme; access, destinations and selection arrangements are separate from admission to the degree. The campus is on Bharathi Salai, Ramapuram, Chennai 600089, with Guindy identified as the nearest railway station in the current government directory. Students can compare hostel residence with daily travel using the college transport service. Route, accommodation and meal choices require a cost plan separate from tuition. The B.Tech. Computer Science and Business System programme is offered with a TCS partnership. Institution-level support also includes innovation and start-up activity and a semester-abroad programme. These opportunities have different scopes: the named TCS partnership belongs to CSBS and does not establish a placement, overseas-study or industry-training entitlement for every degree. ## Hostel, food and safety Separate permanent hostels are available for undergraduate men and women. The government 2026 directory separates annual room and electricity charges, with different room charges for the two hostels. Obtain the current currency-labelled category-specific schedule before budgeting; mess, deposits and tuition must not be merged into an unexplained total. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian mess options are recorded for the undergraduate hostels. The government directory states mess charges separately on an annual basis, rather than including them in the room tariff. Confirm the applicable meal arrangement and current payable amount directly before accepting accommodation. The college provides a dedicated anti-ragging contact, 9600396937. Use this channel for ragging-related concerns; it is not a general emergency-response guarantee. Admissions assistance covers choosing between courses and navigating the application process. Students Traffic can help assess the applicable TNEA route, organise the document checklist and build a shortlist before applying. ## Frequently asked questions ### Is Easwari a private college or an SRM university campus? Easwari Engineering College is a private autonomous college affiliated to Anna University at Ramapuram, Chennai. Its TNEA college code is 1304; this profile is not a listing for SRM Institute of Science and Technology. ### Which undergraduate engineering areas are offered? The college offers conventional engineering and computing degrees alongside automobile engineering, biomedical engineering, biotechnology and robotics. Computing choices include CSE, AI and Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Computer Science and Design, and Computer Science and Business System. ### How long is a first-year B.E. or B.Tech. degree? The standard first-year B.E./B.Tech. route lasts four academic years, comprising eight semesters. Lateral-entry and postgraduate routes are separate and are not described by this first-year duration. ### What Class 12 subjects and marks are required? For the TNEA academic-stream route, pass both HSC years or an accepted equivalent. The Class 12 average in mathematics, physics and chemistry must be at least 45% for the general category or 40% for the specified eligible reserved categories; nativity and category rules also apply. ### Can applicants from outside Tamil Nadu use TNEA? Other-state applicants who studied Classes VIII–XII in Tamil Nadu can apply under the specified rule. Other permitted cases include qualifying parental employment or service exceptions. These conditions are narrower than an unrestricted all-India admission route. ### Can OCI, PIO or refugee applicants apply? TNEA permits Tamil Nadu-native OCI/PIO cardholders under its open-category provision, excluding those born abroad after 4 March 2021. Sri Lankan Tamil refugees who studied in Tamil Nadu have a separate open-competition provision with identification requirements. These are not general foreign-national admission offers. ### How does the TNEA application process work? Register online, provide academic and category details, upload certificate copies and complete verification. During counselling use college code 1304 and the relevant branch code, then follow the allotted round’s choice-filling, confirmation and reporting steps. Eligibility does not guarantee allotment. ### Which documents should I prepare? Prepare Class 10, HSC first-year and second-year or equivalent marksheets and the transfer certificate. Nativity, community, income, first-graduate, government-school, refugee and special-reservation records are required only where the applicable route or claim calls for them. ### What does campus logistics accommodation cost? Separate permanent undergraduate campus logistics are listed for men and women. Room, electricity and meal arrangements charges are separate, and the government 2026 table labels these components per annum. Obtain a currency-labelled current schedule and confirm deposits and other charges; no all-inclusive tuition-and-campus logistics total is inferred. ### Are vegetarian meals and college transport available? Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meal arrangements options are available in the undergraduate campus logistics. College transport is also listed. Meal, room and transport choices have separate charges; request the applicable current schedule rather than assuming one uniform residence cost. ### What industry or overseas-study opportunities are identified? The Computer Science and Business System degree has a TCS partnership. The college also offers innovation and start-up support and a semester-abroad programme. Participation conditions are separate, and these opportunities do not guarantee employment or a place abroad. ### Is tuition included in the living-cost figures? No. Room, electricity, meal arrangements and transport figures describe separate living-cost components. Tuition is on request for the applicant’s admission category; Students Traffic can help organise a programme-specific fee and full-cost plan before payment. ### What current independent course evidence supports these routes? Anna University lists the exact affiliated autonomous college. DTE’s 2026 college directory records approved intake for all 15 selected branches at code 1304, and its current counselling matrix separately names them. This does not claim a separately retrieved 2026–27 AICTE EoA, a current NBA badge or a live vacant seat. ## Sources - [Easwari official admissions portal](https://registration.srmeaswari.ac.in/) (checked 2026-10-27) - [Anna University affiliated colleges — Thiruvallur](https://www.annauniv.edu/cai/District%20wise/district/Thiruvallur.php) (checked 2026-10-27) - [TNEA 2026 information and instructions](https://static.tneaonline.org/docs/2_Information_Brochure_2026.pdf?t=1777772121473) (checked 2026-10-27) - [TNEA 2026 college directory — PDF page 101](https://static.tneaonline.org/docs/Information_about_colleges_2026.pdf) (checked 2026-10-27) - [TNEA 2026 academic seat matrix — PDF pages 48–49](https://static.tneaonline.org/docs/GENERAL_ACADEMIC_SEAT_MATRIX_BEFORE_SPECIAL_RESERVATION_COUNSELLING_2026.pdf) (checked 2026-10-27) - [Anna University faculty development list — Winter 2016](https://cfd.annauniv.edu/pdf/Winter%202016.pdf) (checked 2026-10-27) - [DTE2026 approved intake, Easwari1304, printed60/PDF101](https://static.tneaonline.org/docs/Information_about_colleges_2026.pdf) (checked 2026-10-27) ## Free counselling Students Traffic offers free admission counselling for this university and its programmes. - Contact: https://www.studentstraffic.com/contact - WhatsApp: https://wa.me/919176162888 - Phone: +91 91761 62888 - Email: hello@studentstraffic.com
