## Campus and city

The college serves Thiruvottiyur and nearby communities from its Wimco Nagar campus. Its official site describes classroom study, student clubs, cultural activities, sports and community-service opportunities. Confirm the activities and academic arrangements available for the chosen subject when accepting an offer.

The college is in Wimco Nagar, Thiruvottiyur, Chennai 600019, and uses gascthiruvottiyur.ac.in. The current government admission code is 1011010. It is distinct from Government Arts and Science College at Dr R.K. Nagar and from institutions at Thiruvennainallur with similar abbreviated names.

Commerce and Commerce with Computer Applications have different academic emphases. The college describes business-related study for the general Commerce degree and computing applications alongside commerce for the specialised route. Check the current curriculum and assessment requirements; a degree offer does not guarantee a placement or internship.

## Hostel, food and safety

The 2026 government college booklet lists no college or welfare hostel accommodation. Plan commuting or independently verified housing and check any later change directly with the college. General website descriptions do not establish a hostel place, accommodation charge or residence entitlement.

Specific meal services, mess charges and provision for allergies or individual medical diets have not been verified. Applicants who need particular arrangements should confirm them before choosing their commute or independent accommodation. Academic charges do not establish a meal plan.

Confirm the college’s current student-welfare contacts, complaint procedures and emergency arrangements when enrolling. Individual access, health and travel requirements should be discussed directly. A public college listing does not by itself establish a safety outcome or specific support entitlement.

The college describes library and digital-learning resources, student activities and academic facilities on its website. Verify the service available for the selected degree and your individual needs. Financial support, accommodation, accessibility assistance and other entitlements require their own current eligibility and availability checks.

The DCE upper age limit is 40 as on 1 July 2026. Specified category relaxations may apply, including three years for women and listed community categories or five years for disability/transgender categories. Confirm assessment; relaxations are not automatically cumulative.

The own course pages refer to government fees without a numeric tariff. Request the complete current tuition and compulsory-charge list for the chosen programme and category, together with any separate costs.

### Is a campus logistics available?

The current government booklet lists no college or welfare campus logistics accommodation. Confirm any later change directly and plan commuting or independently verified housing.
