## Why students choose it

- Choose among computing, electronics, electrical and mechanical undergraduate engineering branches.
- Study through Anna University affiliation with the college’s autonomous curriculum and examinations.
- Use laboratory coursework and practical design facilities alongside the four-year degree.

## Things to consider

- The August intake reference is the 2025-26 online first-year induction, not a future application deadline.
- Tuition needs a written quotation for the relevant admission category before financial planning.
- TNEA eligibility includes schooling, nativity and category rules beyond minimum subject marks.

## Best fit for

- School-leavers seeking a four-year B.E. or B.Tech. after Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
- Applicants who meet the relevant Tamil Nadu counselling or college admission-category requirements.
- Students prepared to study at the main Poonamallee campus and plan campus logistics or daily travel costs.

## Campus and city

The Poonamallee campus provides separate student hostels, computer laboratories and departmental learning facilities. Hostel residents have access to furnished rooms, Wi-Fi, fitness facilities and medical support. The college’s IDEA Lab supports hands-on design and prototyping activities.

The main college is on Bangalore Trunk Road at Varadharajapuram, Poonamallee, Chennai 600123, in Thiruvallur district. The 2026 TNEA college directory identifies Chennai Central as the nearest railway station, about 20 km away. Students should plan travel around the main Poonamallee teaching campus.

The undergraduate regulations organize study over eight semesters and include laboratory and project components. The IDEA Lab supports practical design, electronics and prototyping activity, with facilities for developing and testing student ideas. These resources complement branch-specific coursework; access to a laboratory or placement activity does not guarantee an internship or employment offer.

## Hostel, food and safety

Separate permanent boys’ and girls’ hostels are listed in the 2026 TNEA directory. For each, annual mess, room and electricity charges are listed as ₹50,000, ₹50,000 and ₹35,000 respectively: ₹1,35,000 combined. Confirm the applicable room, current payable charges and refund conditions before booking.

The 2026 TNEA directory records both vegetarian and non-vegetarian mess provision for boys’ and girls’ hostels. Students with allergies or other dietary needs should confirm suitable meals before committing to accommodation.

The college publishes an anti-ragging contact through the TNEA directory. Its hostel facilities include medical support and a doctor on call. Students should obtain campus emergency and hostel contact details during joining.

Departmental learning facilities and the IDEA Lab support academic and practical work. Hostel residents have access to Wi-Fi and fitness facilities. Students Traffic can help applicants review branch prerequisites and prepare their application records.
