## Why students choose it

- Autonomous arts and science college affiliated to Bharathiar University.
- Separate aided and self-financed programme options.
- Degree-specific subject requirements and class timings published for admission.

## Things to consider

- Check the exact degree, stream and class timing.
- Some new programmes remain subject to affiliation.
- July 2026 orientation dates are a historical baseline.

## Best fit for

- Applicants whose qualifying subjects meet the published programme conditions.
- Students comparing regular campus-based arts, science or commerce study.
- Applicants prepared for online selection and original-document verification.

## Campus and city

The Civil Aerodrome campus brings together academic departments, student clubs, cultural activities, sports and service organisations. Aided and self-financed degrees have different published class timings. Check the timing for the selected route before planning a commute or combining study with other commitments.

The college is on Avinashi Road at Civil Aerodrome Post, Coimbatore 641014, Tamil Nadu. This is PSG College of Arts & Science, with its own psgcas.ac.in website and admissions portal; PSG College of Technology and PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research are separate institutions.

Science and computing programmes include practical assessment under the college curriculum. The campus also hosts the PSG Food Processing Centre, with pilot-scale processing, packaging, training and incubation facilities. The centre’s existence does not guarantee an individual internship, industrial placement or access to every facility.

## Hostel, food and safety

The college publishes separate hostel facilities and accommodation rules. Hostel admission and room allocation require their own process; an academic offer does not establish a room. Ask about current availability, deposits, mess charges, permitted reporting times and the full yearly accommodation budget before paying.

Hostel and mess costs are separate from the programme tuition quote. Specific dietary provision, allergy handling and individual medical diets have not been verified. Discuss meal choices, included services and personal dietary needs with the hostel before committing to accommodation.

The college lists anti-ragging, student grievance and internal complaints mechanisms alongside student welfare services. Obtain current contacts and reporting procedures when enrolling. These services do not establish a safety outcome or replace individual accessibility, health and emergency planning.

The college provides library, student welfare, placement support, clubs and academic advising through its institutional services. Published scholarship information concerns specific eligibility categories. Check the exact assistance, documentation and application cycle rather than assuming an award or placement follows admission.

## Frequently asked questions

### Which PSG institution is this?

This is PSG College of Arts & Science at Civil Aerodrome Post, Coimbatore, affiliated to Bharathiar University. PSG College of Technology, PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research and other PSG institutions have separate admissions.

### How do aided and self-financed admissions differ?

Both appear in the college admission tables, with separate degree choices, qualifications and class timings. Select the exact stream when applying and obtain its own academic-fee quotation; one stream’s timetable or fee does not establish another’s.

### Which school subjects are required?

Requirements vary by degree. Science routes specify combinations such as Mathematics, Chemistry or biological subjects; Commerce routes specify Commerce/Business Studies and Accountancy. Use the conditions attached to the exact offering, including the published seat-group distribution.

### Are 2026–27 UG rules final?

The published UG table says its eligibility follows 2025–26 guidelines and will be updated when 2026–27 directions arrive. Applicants should confirm the final rules and any revised subject conditions with the admissions office before applying.

### What language is used?

The institutional 2023–24 AQAR states English medium with vernacular explanations as needed. The named 2022 SSR records Tamil for M.A. Tamil. These dated records are shown with their limits; confirm current programme arrangements before applying.

### When did first-year students join?

The verified 2026–27 baseline is July: UG induction ran 7–9 July and 20–22 July, while the institutional July newsletter records PG orientation on 6 July. Orientation dates do not independently establish the first teaching day or announce a future admission window.

### Is an annual tuition amount confirmed?

The 2026–27 FAQ gives approximate combined academic-fee ranges by stream and semester/year, without a programme-specific tuition breakdown. Request itemised tuition, compulsory charges, examinations and deposits; campus logistics and meals require separate budgeting.

### How is an application submitted?

Use the college’s online admission portal for the notified cycle and select the exact degree and stream. Monitor the official list and registered mobile/email for selection or assessment, then follow the original-document verification and admission-payment instructions.

### Do all postgraduate degrees use the same selection?

No. Academic qualifications differ by programme, and Social Work and Journalism and Mass Communication require the college entrance test. Follow the exact assessment and counselling notice rather than assuming one common PG procedure.

### Can foreign applicants use these entries?

These entries cover the verified regular domestic route. The FAQ permits foreign registration using an Indian contact number and requires AIU eligibility for foreign boards, but programme-specific overseas availability and additional approvals remain to be confirmed.

### Is campus logistics accommodation included?

campus logistics accommodation is separate from the course application and fee quotation. Check current availability, allocation rules, deposits, meal arrangements charges and reporting arrangements directly with the college before planning to live on campus.
