Students have access to academic departments, clubs, sports and institutional activities. Programme attendance, timetables and practical requirements differ by award. PSG College of Technology is at Avinashi Road, Peelamedu, Coimbatore 641004, Tamil Nadu; its TNEA college code is 2006. PSG College of Arts & Science and PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research are separate institutions. Verify the exact college, programme and funding choice before applying. Engineering study includes programme-specific laboratory, project and practical work. The Mechanical Engineering sandwich route has morning practical training and evening class work across its five-year structure, with a separately notified training charge. Other engineering degrees should not be assumed to follow that timetable or charge pattern. ## Hostel, food and safety The college lists hostel facilities alongside its campus services. Academic admission does not establish a hostel room, and allocation requires its own process. Request current room availability, deposits, mess charges, rules and the complete accommodation budget before committing to a residential plan. Meals and mess arrangements are separate from the programme tuition quote. Specific allergy handling, dietary choices and individual medical-diet provision have not been verified. Ask the hostel or mess office about included meals, food preferences and personal requirements before payment. The college calendar lists internal complaints, student grievance and student welfare mechanisms. Obtain current support contacts, reporting procedures and emergency arrangements when enrolling. These institutional channels do not establish an individual safety outcome or replace personal accessibility and health planning. Library, placement support, student welfare, clubs and scholarship information are listed among college services. Scholarships depend on the exact category and scheme. Verify current documents, deadlines and support arrangements directly; admission does not guarantee funding, an internship or employment. ## Frequently asked questions ### Which PSG institution is this? This is PSG College of Technology at Peelamedu, Coimbatore, affiliated to Anna University. Its TNEA code is 2006. PSG College of Arts & Science, PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research and PSG Polytechnic have separate admissions. ### How long is engineering study? The listed regular BE/BTech degrees follow a four-year structure. Mechanical Engineering Sandwich is a five-year self-financing route with morning practical training and evening classes. Do not apply the four-year format to that route. ### What subjects are required for undergraduate engineering? The verified academic school route requires recognised HSC/Class 11 and 12 study with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. TNEA sets 45% general and 40% for the specified Tamil Nadu reservation categories. Separate vocational and equivalence routes need their own assessment. ### Who can use the FN/OCI route? The college explicitly lists 16 regular four-year engineering programmes for foreign-national/OCIadmission. Applicants need 12 years of schooling, 45% PCM average, English medium or English as a school subject, and the scheme documents. Selection remains provisional pending the relevant authorities. ### Do those overseas approvals cover every course? No. The 2026–27 approval table distinguishes regular undergraduate engineering from Mechanical Sandwich and postgraduate courses. This page restricts the latter to verified domestic routes; a general overseas-admission statement does not establish every programme’s availability. ### What is the teaching language? The current college FN/OCI admission page explicitly states English as the institution’s medium of instruction. Applicants should check the selected programme’s current teaching and assessment arrangements and any separate language-entry conditions. ### When did first-year cohorts join? The verified undergraduate orientation baseline is 17 August 2026. The official 2025–26 calendar separately lists first-year ME/MTech class work 21 August 2025, MCA reopening 6 August 2025 and PSGIM MBA class work 18 August 2025. These dated cohorts do not announce future availability. ### How do postgraduate qualifications differ? Each engineering master’s has an exact accepted-degree and branch list. MCA has separate degree, Mathematics, marks and education-pattern conditions. The PSGIM institutional MBA route requires 60% in a recognised bachelor’s degree, while MBA Waste Management and Social Entrepreneurship requires 55%. ### Are tuition amounts confirmed? Request an itemised quote for the exact degree, admission category and funding choice. General fee categories do not establish programme-specific annual tuition or the FN/OCI schedule. Separate university charges, deposits, practical training and campus logistics/meal arrangements costs before budgeting. ### Is the sandwich training charge included? The TNEA brochure states that an additional practical-training charge applies to sandwich study and will be notified by the Principal at admission. Obtain that amount and the complete five-year academic budget before paying. ### Does a counselling call guarantee admission? No. Academic eligibility, selection or ranking, original-document verification, applicable category permissions and authority confirmation remain required. Complete the exact college and admission-system steps for the selected programme. ### Is accommodation automatic? campus logistics accommodation requires a separate allocation process. Ask about current availability, room rules, deposits, meal arrangements costs and reporting arrangements; a course offer does not confirm a room or an individual dietary provision. ## Sources - [Current college programmes](https://www.psgtech.edu/programme.php) (checked 2026-10-25) - [Current 2026 PG qualifications](https://psgtech.edu/pgadmission2026/) (checked 2026-10-25) - [Current FN/OCI engineering route](https://www.psgtech.edu/fn_oci/) (checked 2026-10-25) - [Official 2026 TNEA brochure](https://static.tneaonline.org/docs/2_Information_Brochure_2026.pdf) (checked 2026-10-25) - [Specific 2026 TNEA collegeinformation](https://static.tneaonline.org/docs/Information_about_colleges_2026.pdf) (checked 2026-10-25) - [Current 2026–27 AICTE EOA](https://www.psgtech.edu/files/approvals/EOA_Report_26-27.PDF) (checked 2026-10-25) - [Official 2025–26 college calendar](https://www.psgtech.edu/files/calendar/PSGTech-AcademicCalendar2025-2026.pdf) (checked 2026-10-25) - [Own 2026 engineering NIRF submission](https://www.psgtech.edu/files/nirf/NIRF_Engineering_Data_2026.pdf) (checked 2026-10-25) - [Official trust 2026 UG orientation](https://www.linkedin.com/posts/psgandsonscharities_psgcollegeoftechnology-orientationprogramme-activity-7495054913887031296-AzE4) (checked 2026-10-25) - [Anna University 2026 brochure, mirrored institutional document](https://studylib.net/doc/28370285/information-brochure-2026) (checked 2026-10-25) - [PSGIM MBA programme](https://psgim.ac.in/mba/) (checked 2026-10-25) - [PSGIM MBA WMSE programme](https://psgim.ac.in/mba-wmse/) (checked 2026-10-25) - [UGC autonomy register](https://www.ugc.gov.in/colleges/Autonomous_Colleges_list) (checked 2026-10-25) - [NIRF 2025 Engineering ranking](https://www.nirfindia.org/Rankings/2025/EngineeringRanking.html) (checked 2026-10-25) ## Free counselling Students Traffic offers free admission counselling for this university and its programmes. - Contact: https://www.studentstraffic.com/contact - WhatsApp: https://wa.me/919176162888 - Phone: +91 91761 62888 - Email: hello@studentstraffic.com
