## Why students choose it

- One campus covers arts, science, computing, law, business, media and allied health.
- Most official programme pages publish duration, eligibility and tuition together.
- UGC listing and the 2018 Tamil Nadu Act are both verifiable public records.

## Things to consider

- No teaching language is published for any programme; confirm it before accepting an offer.
- No international, NRI or overseas admission route or fee category is published on the official site.
- Programme fee blocks do not print the academic year the published fee applies to.

## Best fit for

- Domestic applicants who meet the exact Class 12 subject and mark conditions of one named award.
- Students who want majors, minors and interdisciplinary electives across schools.
- Applicants ready to confirm teaching language, residence and current fees directly with the university.

## Campus and city

The campus is at One Hub Road, Paiyanur, on the Chennai IT corridor. Students study across eight schools, with a library, laboratories and centres for innovation and smart healthcare. The university states that residence is arranged through a partner property with shuttle transport rather than an on-campus hostel, and that internships begin as early as the second year.

The campus sits on the Old Mahabalipuram Road corridor south of central Chennai, in Paiyanur near Navalur. The university publishes transport at Rs 70,000 a year for students using its bus and van service, and its FAQ says classes run from 9am to 4pm with evening sessions possible when visiting faculty or guest speakers require them, supported by late transport. Chennai's wider transport network, rental market and living costs sit outside tuition: budget rent, food, commuting and personal expenses separately, and confirm the real commute from wherever you plan to live.

Practical work depends on the programme. The university publishes four advanced research labs, more than 150 journal papers, a cumulative H-index of 199 and Rs 1.37 crore of active research projects, alongside centres for innovation and entrepreneurship and for smart healthcare. Individual programmes name their own arrangements: film and television runs with Qube Cinema and LevelUp Filmmaking, the BBA business intelligence route names the Institute of Analytics (UK), two computer science routes are offered jointly with L&T and Xebia, and law and AI programmes list technology-focused modules. The admissions page states that students secure internships with more than 100 organisations from as early as the second year; that is a university statement, not an individual guarantee.

## Hostel, food and safety

Programme fee blocks publish Student Residence charges of Rs 1.5-2.2 lakh a year if availed, plus a one-time non-refundable security deposit of Rs 25,000. The FAQ says residence is arranged with a partner private property and that students commute by university shuttle, and it also carries an undated note that an on-campus hostel was under construction and expected to open in early 2024. Treat the current arrangement, vacancy, room type and house rules as unconfirmed until the university confirms them for your intake.

No current published detail on mess menus, vegetarian or vegan provision, allergen handling or religious dietary requirements was found. Residence is arranged through a partner property, so confirm catering and any special diet directly with the university and the property before accepting a place.

The university publishes POSH regulations, Internal Complaints Committee information and an anti-ragging policy on its official site. Use those published channels and the contacts issued at enrolment for any complaint. Publishing a policy or committee does not by itself guarantee an individual outcome.

The university lists an Internal Quality Assurance Cell, a library, internship and placement assistance, and transport for students attending late evening classes. Programme-level academic support, accessibility provision and scholarship processing should be confirmed with the relevant school and the finance committee.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is Sai University recognised?

Sai University appears in the University Grants Commission's consolidated list of all universities and in its consolidated list of private universities under Tamil Nadu. It was established under The Sai University Act, 2018 of the Tamil Nadu legislature. The university also states on its admissions page that its B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programme is recognised by the Bar Council of India; that programme-level claim was not verified on a Bar Council of India published list.

### Where is the Sai University campus?

The campus is at Sai University, One Hub Road, Old Mahabalipuram Road, Paiyanur, Chennai 603104, Tamil Nadu. It is on the OMR IT corridor south of central Chennai, near Navalur. The university runs bus and van transport for students and publishes the charge separately from tuition.

### What does tuition cost at Sai University?

Published programme blocks list Rs 2 lakh a year for B.A./B.Sc. (Hons.) and BCA routes, Rs 1.5 lakh for media routes, Rs 2 lakh for BBA, Rs 2.5 lakh for B.Tech biotechnology, biomedical and environmental engineering and for both law degrees, Rs 3 lakh for computing, data science and AI B.Tech routes and the MBA, and Rs 1 lakh a year for the LL.M. and the postgraduate diplomas. The English Literature page, the anaesthesia and operation theatre technology page, the Daksha Fellowship and five 2026-added B.Tech pages carry no usable tuition figure.

### Is teaching at Sai University in English?

No teaching-language statement was found on the programme pages, the admissions pages or The Sai University Act, 2018. English-medium instruction is not assumed from the English-language website. Confirm the teaching and examination language for your programme with the school before accepting an offer.

### Can international students apply to Sai University?

The official site publishes no international, NRI or overseas admission page, fee category or eligibility statement. The application form lists international dialling codes but describes no separate international route. International applicants should ask the admissions office directly before applying, and should not assume domestic eligibility or fees.

### Which entrance tests does Sai University accept?

B.Tech and BBA pages say admission may consider JEE Main, SAT, SAIU CAT or an equivalent examination. Law routes accept CLAT, LSAT India, AILET or other national or state law entrance scores, and the admission checklist mentions the Sai University Law Admissions Test (SLAT). MBA routes accept CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT or SAIU CAT, and the LL.M. accepts CLAT PG and LSAT India.

### Are scholarships available at Sai University?

Programme fee blocks publish a 10% tuition scholarship for 95% or above in Class 12, a 10% need-based scholarship for EWS applicants with 90% or above, and a 10% achievement scholarship for top-three state or national competition ranks. A separate FAQ answer describes scholarships of 25% to 100% plus need-based financial aid. The two published statements do not agree, so confirm the current scheme and documents with admissions.

### Is campus logistics accommodation available?

Programme fee blocks publish Student Residence charges of Rs 1.5-2.2 lakh a year if availed and a one-time non-refundable Rs 25,000 security deposit. The FAQ says residence is arranged with a partner private property and students commute by shuttle, while also carrying an undated note that the campus campus logistics was under construction. Confirm the current arrangement, vacancy and charges for your intake.

### How do I apply to Sai University?

Register on apply.saiuniversity.edu.in and complete the online application for the named programme. Submit Class 10 and Class 12 records and any accepted entrance-test score, and complete the school's selection step. The FAQ says applicants awaiting Class 12 results may apply using Class 10 marks and submit the transcript before or within one month of joining.

### Which Sai University awards are not covered on this page?

Optometry, physiotherapy, medical radiology and imaging technology and the Ph.D. in artificial intelligence are not published here. Their official pages either conflict on programme duration or publish no eligibility, fee and curriculum detail, so those awards stay held until the university publishes consistent information.
