## Hostel, food and safety

Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology & Research Academy (SASTRA) has 9 boys' and 6 girls' hostels at Thanjavur for over 4,000 men and 2,400 women. The published lodging fee runs from INR 16,000 for a non-AC 3-in-1 room to INR 90,000 for an AC single room with attached bath; first-year students get shared rooms, and single to 4-in-1 rooms open from the second year.
