Its prospectus identifies library, computing, sports and academic spaces, while departments provide degree-specific coursework and practical study. Regular, lateral-entry and separately advertised part-time routes have different entry and duration conditions; the primary degree is distinct from optional honours or minor choices. SCSVMV is located on Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Street at Enathur, Kanchipuram. Use the university campus address when arranging reporting, accommodation and daily travel. Professional health faculties, distance programmes and separately advertised teaching modes require their own location and admission confirmation; the regular campus description should not be treated as a location guarantee for those held routes. The prospectus and faculty pages identify computer laboratories, science learning facilities and engineering practical spaces alongside the university library. Programme content differs across laboratory science, computing, engineering, commerce, management and Sanskrit study. Confirm the selected curriculum, project and practical requirements with the department. Optional engineering honours and minors supplement a parent degree; they are not independent primary engineering awards. ## Hostel, food and safety The university publishes separate men’s and ladies’ hostels at its Enathur campus, with room details, wardens and escalation contacts. The hostel information identifies dining, Internet access, reading and recreation facilities. Confirm room availability, allocation conditions and the complete accommodation and mess charges separately before arranging a stay. The hostel dining information describes a vegetarian menu with North and South Indian food. Confirm current meal arrangements, individual dietary requirements and mess charges directly with the hostel; food and accommodation are separate from the programme quotation. The hostel information identifies CCTV, security support, wardens and an escalation process. Confirm reporting rules, emergency contacts and the relevant hostel contact before arrival; these facilities do not guarantee personal safety. The university provides library and computing resources, student welfare and grievance channels, and academic support through its departments. The hostel site publishes contacts and escalation arrangements. Confirm access and programme-specific assistance with the relevant department. ## Frequently asked questions ### Which institution is this? This is Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya, known as SCSVMV or Kanchi University, at Enathur in Kanchipuram. The regular campus degrees are distinct from separately advertised distance programmes and other teaching modes. ### Are honours and minors separate engineering degrees? No. The university lists optional honours and minor subjects attached to a parent engineering degree. Those choices do not independently establish a separate primary BE award, entry qualification or duration. ### What school subjects are needed? The current shared arts and science row accepts a pass in Higher Secondary or equivalent for the named routes. Engineering has specific compulsory subjects, marks and an age limit. BA Sanskrit also lists the recognised Prak Sastri pathway. ### What does the lateral-entry listing verify? It covers a corresponding Engineering or Technology diploma from the Tamil Nadu State Board or equivalent, direct entry to semester three and the three-year degree route. The listed subset is aged 20 orunder; older-applicant eligibility is not established here. ### Which postgraduate qualifications are accepted? Requirements differ by degree. Sanskrit MA routes require Sastri or BA Sanskrit; the MSc entries verify matching science bachelor subjects. Engineering masters, MCA, MBA and BEd have their own degree, marks and selection conditions. ### Do all programmes require an entrance test? No common mandatory examination is asserted. The MBA page describes a national or university test score as desirable; MCA selection uses qualifying-degree marks. BEd follows degree/PG marks and/or the university test under its notified process. ### Is teaching in English guaranteed? The exact teaching and examination language is not independently confirmed for these entries. Ask the department about current instruction, assessment and any language-specific requirements before applying; no English, Tamil or Sanskrit default is applied. ### How should I use the fee information? Use the native programme quote for the stated general admission category, then obtain an itemised final offer. One-time admission payments, accommodation, meals and other costs are separate. First-year engineering prices require confirmation where the published rows differ. ### Can NRI or foreign students use these technical entries? The verified AICTE letter records No for NRI and international-student approval for the technical courses. The university separately advertises selected nontechnical international routes; that does not establish overseas permission or fees for every programme. ### How is an application submitted? Apply through the official university online system and choose the exact award and mode. Updates use registered email and mobile details. Provisional offers are followed by document submission, official fee payment and verification before final admission confirmation. ### What are the campus logistics daily living arrangements? The campus logistics information describes separate men’s and ladies’ accommodation and a vegetarian meal arrangements with North and South day-to-day support. Confirm room allocation, dietary needs and current accommodation and meal charges directly with the campus logistics. ### When is the next intake? Use the university’s newly notified application and reporting schedule for the intended cycle. An exact next first-entry month is not independently established here, and no dated start or open admission window is promised. ## Sources - [Currentcoursesandeligibility](https://kanchiuniv.ac.in/courses-offered-and-eligibility/) (checked 2026-10-25) - [2026–27 prospectus](https://kanchiuniv.ac.in/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Prospectus-2026-27-updated.pdf) (checked 2026-10-25) - [2026–27 fee schedule](https://kanchiuniv.ac.in/admission/fee-structure/) (checked 2026-10-25) - [AICTEEOA 2026–27](https://kanchiuniv.ac.in/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/EOA-Report-2026-27.pdf) (checked 2026-10-25) - [Onlineadmissionprocedure](https://kanchiuniv.ac.in/admissions-procedure-2026/) (checked 2026-10-25) - [Hostelinformation](https://kanchiuniv.ac.in/campus-life/hostel/) (checked 2026-10-25) - [UGCownregister](https://deemed.ugc.ac.in/Home/ListOfDeemedToBeUniversity) (checked 2026-10-25) - [NCTEownrecognisedlist](https://web.ncte.gov.in/page-regional-committee-institution-lists/32/tamil-nadu?page=47) (checked 2026-10-25) - [AIUownmemberdirectory](https://aiu.ac.in/wp-content/uploads/docs/2025/06/Directory_File_AIU_Member_Univ__As_on_11.06.2025_.pdf) (checked 2026-10-25) - [Selectedinternationalroutes](https://kanchiuniv.ac.in/international-nri-admissions/) (checked 2026-10-25) ## Free counselling Students Traffic offers free admission counselling for this university and its programmes. - Contact: https://www.studentstraffic.com/contact - WhatsApp: https://wa.me/919176162888 - Phone: +91 91761 62888 - Email: hello@studentstraffic.com
