## Why students choose it

- Named current course pages state programme-specific qualifications and academic duration.
- The university’s ordinances explicitly specify English for instruction and examinations across courses.
- The portfolio includes computing, commerce, social work, biological sciences and media study.

## Things to consider

- Confirm the exact award and teaching location; university administrative offices and affiliated group colleges are separate considerations.
- Several pages mention honours pathways alongside a three-year base degree; confirm any extension and its requirements directly.
- Secondary Tindivanam course-fee references are indicative and may exclude compulsory additional charges.

## Best fit for

- Applicants meeting the exact named programme’s school or qualifying-degree conditions.
- Students comparing the university’s own nontechnical undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
- Applicants who obtain written confirmation of campus, exact award, complete fees and any residence arrangements.

## Campus and city

The university describes project-based learning, subject events, student activities and academic facilities. Its official home page shows a library reading area and computer teaching facilities. Programme requirements vary by school, so compare the exact curriculum, practical assessment and award before accepting an offer. University-wide promotional placement figures are not a promise of an individual outcome.

UGC identifies the university at Keezhathanur Village, Tindivanam taluk, Villupuram district, and the current university contact page lists Emmanuel Educity on NH-32 in Tindivanam. The university also lists administrative offices at Palanchur near Chennai and Kanyakumari. Its registered office is in Kanyakumari. Confirm the actual teaching location on the offer; an administrative address or similarly named college is not automatically the campus of the selected degree.

Current computing course pages describe programming, databases, networks and software projects. Media pages describe production and communication study, while Social Work combines social understanding with applied practice. Exact modules, fieldwork, laboratory access and assessment depend on the degree’s current syllabus. Academic descriptions do not guarantee a job, professional licence, pilot qualification or a particular placement.

## Hostel, food and safety

The university ordinances set out hostel admission, residence and conduct rules. Obtain current accommodation availability, room category, deposits, billing periods and refund conditions from the university before payment. Academic admission does not itself confirm a hostel allotment. Check the distance between any proposed residence and the actual teaching location named in the offer.

Ask the university or hostel office for current mess arrangements, meal charges and available dietary options. Students with allergies or specific dietary needs should obtain confirmation before accepting accommodation. The academic course fee alone should not be assumed to include meals or a particular menu.

The university ordinances describe student conduct and hostel rules. Obtain current emergency, medical, security and grievance contacts before joining, and understand the rules for the selected campus and residence. Plan transport around the teaching location on the offer and retain admission, accommodation and payment records.

The official admission route offers programme selection, registration and application access for the current cycle. Review the selected course’s own qualification conditions, request its current document checklist and obtain written fee and refund terms. A general programme list does not remove degree-specific subject or percentage requirements.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is this the university in Nagaland or Bengaluru?

No. This is the Tamil Nadu St Joseph University using sju.ac.in, listed by UGC at Keezhathanur in Tindivanam taluk. The Nagaland and Bengaluru universities and similarly named affiliated colleges are distinct institutions.

### Where will my programme be taught?

UGC lists the university at Keezhathanur, Tindivanam, and the university gives an Emmanuel Educity address on NH-32. It also lists administrative offices near Chennai and in Kanyakumari, with the registered office in Kanyakumari. Obtain the exact teaching campus on the written offer before making travel or accommodation commitments.

### Are all the undergraduate degrees three years?

No. Most of the base degrees listed here have an explicit three-year duration on their named university pages. Professional Accounting, Visual Communication and the combined Hotel, International Tourism and Aviation Management page each state four years. Confirm the precise award and any honours or research pathway rather than assuming a common duration.

### Which subjects do the computing degrees require?

The named BSc Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science pages require 10+2 with at least 50% and at least one of Mathematics, Business Mathematics, Statistics or Allied Mathematics. The general Computer Science page also lists a qualifying engineering-diploma alternative; the university must confirm the entry pattern and year for that route.

### What do the Commerce degrees require?

The named Commerce pages require 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 50% and list Commerce/Accountancy as mandatory subjects. Confirm how the university assesses your exact school combination and any equivalent qualification.

### What are the postgraduate entry conditions?

MSW accepts any undergraduate degree with at least 50%. MSc Artificial Intelligence and Data Science lists specified computing, IT and related BSc, BCA, BE and BTech qualifications with 50% aggregate and requires Mathematics at Class 12. Obtain assessment of the exact prior degree before applying.

### What is the teaching language?

The university’s currently linked ordinances specify English as the medium of instruction and examination at all stages in all university courses. Confirm the detailed arrangements for any separate language paper or specialist assessment in the chosen syllabus.

### How should I use the fee figures?

Where available, the amounts are indicative annual course-fee references for an exact named Tindivanam degree in a secondary source. They are not confirmed isolated tuition. Ask the university for current itemised fees, category conditions, additional charges and refund terms. Fees for a similarly named Chennai listing should not automatically be transferred.

### Do Aviation or Social Work degrees confer a professional licence?

These are academic degrees. The Aviation award does not itself establish a pilot licence, and a Social Work degree does not guarantee eligibility for a regulated clinical role or government appointment. Check the separate requirements of the occupation you intend to pursue.

### Are overseas applicants automatically eligible?

The university provides an international admissions link, but the school and prior-degree conditions shown here do not establish individual foreign-qualification equivalence, fees or immigration eligibility. Obtain a written university assessment for the applicant’s precise qualification and category.
