The university reviews qualifications and any required assessment before issuing admission documents. Full first-year tuition is required at registration. ## Why students choose it - Compare engineering and science routes within a public Ministry of Education university. - Use programme-specific academic preparation and an official international application process. - Plan research preparation with the relevant academic school and supervisor. ## Things to consider - Current Chinese and English programme lists have some unresolved naming or availability differences. - English bachelor programme opening depends on a minimum registered cohort. - Published fees and application dates are for 2026; the next cycle requires confirmation. ## Best fit for - Students comparing English engineering, science, economics, business or law study. - Graduate applicants prepared to secure supervisor acceptance and submit a research plan. - Applicants willing to confirm exact next-cycle terms and campus allocation before travel. ## Campus and city The university has Mafangshan, Yujiatou and Nanhu campuses. International residence facilities include shared kitchens, laundries, multimedia activity rooms, exercise equipment and sports areas. Daily study and travel arrangements depend on the actual academic school and residence assignment; an admissions-office location or campus photograph does not establish every programme’s placement. WHUT is in Wuhan, Hubei. Its international admissions office is in the Mafangshan East campus area on Luoshi Road. The university’s several campus areas mean applicants should confirm where classes, research and accommodation will be located before choosing arrival transport or budgeting a commute. Registration timing follows the admission notice. No fixed city living budget or journey time is assumed. The university identifies building and construction materials, transportation and automobile industries as major areas of its education and research mission. International English study includes materials, mechanical, mining, civil, transportation and computing fields, alongside science, economics, business and law. Graduate applicants prepare a research plan and obtain provisional acceptance from a university academic supervisor. These academic links do not guarantee access to a particular company, paid internship, professional registration or employment. ## Hostel, food and safety The 2026 guides list on-campus double rooms at CNY 8,400 per year per person, with single rooms at CNY 12,000 where available. Facilities include air-conditioning, a water heater, an internal bathroom, wardrobe, bed and bedding; shared kitchens and laundries are provided. The guide states a 120-unit free electricity allowance per person. Confirm availability, the allocation and current billing before payment; a requested room type is not guaranteed. Shared kitchens are included in the published international residence facilities, offering a way to prepare food within residence rules. Confirm current dining locations and specific dietary needs for the allocated campus. No university-wide halal meal plan, compulsory catering charge or fixed food budget is established here. Applicants provide police evidence and a health examination from the previous six months. Registration requires an ordinary passport, student visa and original academic records. Confirm insurance enrolment, policy cost, coverage and university arrival instructions before travel; no unverified premium or medical reimbursement percentage is assumed. The School of International Education’s international student admissions and training centre handles the published degree application route. Academic schools review graduate preparation and arrange assessment. Students Traffic can help compare public information and prepare questions, while admission, funding, campus allocation and qualification verification remain university decisions. ## Frequently asked questions ### Which English bachelor subjects can I compare? The mutually matching current degree lists include Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science and Technology, Economics, Mining Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Programme opening depends on the registered cohort. The Chinese Logistics Engineering versus English Logistics Management naming conflict requires confirmation before that route is presented as a verified offering. ### What English master fields are available? Shared current fields include applied economics, business, computing, materials, mechanical, civil, transportation and mining engineering, architecture, mathematics and physics. The Chinese Law versus English International Law title is kept under one neutral law parent with exact-track confirmation. Conflicting Vehicle, Chemical Engineering and Management Science entries remain subject to current availability confirmation. ### How long are the programmes and what award is given? The supported English bachelors take four years, and masters take three years. Completion requires the prescribed courses, thesis defence and degree review. The guides establish bachelor or master level, but do not prove a BEng, BSc, MSc, MEng or LLM abbreviation for these routes. The undergraduate architecture five-year exception does not change the three-year Architecture master. ### Is Business Administration an MBA? The programme list says Business Administration, while the fee schedule separately names an MBA tariff. That alone does not prove this named English master is an MBA or establish its exact charge. It uses a neutral master parent and tuition is on request until the university confirms the academic/professional identity and invoice. ### What English evidence is required? Non-native English speakers provide recognised English evidence such as IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80; the guide also names TOEFL MyBest, iBT Home Edition and Essentials. Applicants unable to provide the standardised evidence take an additional university oral or written English assessment. Do not substitute an unverified blanket medium-of-instruction waiver. ### What undergraduate entrance papers are required? The current guide requires CSCA Mathematics for all bachelor applicants, in the teaching language. For English science/engineering routes it refers to Physics or Chemistry selection in English. Confirm the exact papers for the chosen programme; no subject-to-major mapping is invented. Graduate documents and assessment follow their separate master rules. ### What age and qualifications are required? Bachelors need high-school graduation and published age 18–25; a guardian checklist item alone does not prove an under-18 exception. Masters need a qualification equivalent to a Chinese bachelor’s degree and good academics. The Chinese master guide generally says no more than 35, while English says under 35; applicants at that boundary should confirm the exact rule. ### How do nationality and residence rules work? For the guide’s applicable Chinese-parent and former-Chinese cases, valid foreign nationality evidence must have been held for at least four years, with two years’ actual overseas residence within the latest four-year period ending before 30 April of the enrolment year. Nine months abroad in a year counts as a year. These conditions are explicitly present in both WHUT degree guides; use the university’s exact case assessment. ### Which documents do master applicants need? Prepare prior degree and transcripts, English evidence, two associate-professor-or-higher academic recommendations, a provisional supervisor acceptance letter, personal statement and brief research plan. The checklist also includes passport/visa records, applicant or sponsor bank evidence, police evidence, health examination, fee receipt and prior China-study performance evidence where applicable. No universal research-plan word count is added. ### When can I apply and register? The published self-funded 2026 window was 10 October 2025–30 June 2026. Degree registration follows the admission notice. These past dates do not establish a 2027 deadline or a future start month. Check the official portal for the next cycle, admission notice and any programme opening conditions before booking travel. ### What are the published tuition and other costs? The 2026 English bachelor tariff is CNY 24,000/year for science/engineering and CNY 20,000/year for economics/management. English masters are CNY 30,000/year for science/engineering or CNY 27,000 for economics, law and social sciences; Business Administration’s exact fee remains unconfirmed. Application charge is CNY 500, or USD 80 for overseas payment. Confirm next-cycle tuition, insurance and the invoice before budgeting. ### How are scholarships awarded? The guide identifies government bilateral Type A through the relevant home-country dispatching authority. Graduate funding also includes specific Type B and MOFCOM routes with separate eligibility, submission channels and calendars. General admission does not guarantee scholarship selection, a tuition waiver or a living allowance. Confirm the exact award and programme coverage before relying on funding. ### What residence and registration arrangements apply? The 2026 reference is CNY 8,400/year/person for double rooms or CNY 12,000 for singles where available. Rooms have internal bathrooms, air-conditioning and bedding, with shared kitchens, laundries and activity facilities. Confirm the actual campus and room allocation. Full first-year tuition, an ordinary passport, student visa and original qualifications are needed at registration; diplomatic/service passports are not accepted for that process. ## Sources - [WHUT ug guide page 2026](http://sie.whut.edu.cn/lhlx/xmjs/202606/t20260622_1404017.shtml) (checked 2026-10-31) - [WHUT pg guide page 2026](http://sie.whut.edu.cn/lhlx/xmjs/202606/t20260622_1404019.shtml) (checked 2026-10-31) - [WHUT ug guide 2026](http://sie.whut.edu.cn/lhlx/xmjs/202606/P020260622567715127470.docx) (checked 2026-10-31) - [WHUT pg guide 2026](http://sie.whut.edu.cn/lhlx/xmjs/202606/P020260622568294875939.docx) (checked 2026-10-31) - [WHUT ug en page 2026](http://sie.whut.edu.cn/english/ist/unde/202602/t20260227_1385160.shtml) (checked 2026-10-31) - [WHUT pg en page 2026](http://sie.whut.edu.cn/english/ist/po/202602/t20260227_1385159.shtml) (checked 2026-10-31) - [WHUT csca guidance](http://sie.whut.edu.cn/lhlx/sqzghsqcx/202512/t20251202_1359759.shtml) (checked 2026-10-31) - [WHUT history](http://sie.whut.edu.cn/english/whyu/abow/202103/t20210316_830330.shtml) (checked 2026-10-31) - [WHUT college profile](http://sie.whut.edu.cn/english/whyu/abos/) (checked 2026-10-31) - [WHUT accommodation detail](http://sie.whut.edu.cn/english/ist/acco/202103/t20210319_830407.shtml) (checked 2026-10-31) - [MOE 2026 national university directory](https://hudong.moe.gov.cn/jyb_xxgk/s5743/s5744/202606/W020260618416094865984.xls) (checked 2026-10-31) ## Free counselling Students Traffic offers free admission counselling for this university and its programmes. - Contact: https://www.studentstraffic.com/contact - WhatsApp: https://wa.me/919176162888 - Phone: +91 91761 62888 - Email: hello@studentstraffic.com
