## Admissions

Use the official current programme list and university application process. The International Students Admissions Office reviews applications and issues the university’s formal instructions.

## Why students choose it

- A Ministry of Education-listed public university with verified English undergraduate options in fourteen named fields.
- Newer international bulletins and the university’s fully-English portfolio report resolve older phased-language descriptions.
- Specific international programme plans distinguish nominal study length, qualifications, credits and Chinese graduation conditions.

## Things to consider

- Current published degree application dates and fees are for 2026; a new 2027 Chinese-language notice does not establish a new degree intake.
- English academic teaching can coexist with Chinese graduation requirements; several programme plans explicitly require HSK 4.
- The international checklist includes hair drug testing, a recent police certificate, financial evidence and a video introduction.

## Best fit for

- Applicants comparing English undergraduate engineering, economics, agriculture, accounting or related study.
- Students prepared to satisfy the exact health, document and applicable Chinese graduation requirements.
- Applicants willing to confirm the next degree calendar, exact campus and final financial terms through ZAFU.

## Campus and city

The international office is at 666 Wusu Street in Lin’an, Hangzhou. The university’s current bulletin names Donghu, Yijin and Zhuji campuses, while its 2026 international-college report describes cultural activities and student support. Confirm the specific teaching and residence assignment in the offer.

Lin’an is the Hangzhou district named in the international admissions address. ZAFU’s materials identify more than one campus, so a Hangzhou office address should not be treated as a guarantee of the teaching location for every programme. Confirm the actual campus and accommodation before planning travel; the cover photograph identifies Donghu Campus specifically.

The Wood Science programme describes wood and composite materials, processing and intelligent manufacturing. Furniture Design and Engineering lists structures, materials, manufacturing processes, industrial engineering and production equipment. Veterinary Medicine’s international plan is a four-year academic Bachelor of Agriculture with at least 130 credits; professional clinical registration remains a separate question.

## Hostel, food and safety

The current 2026 bulletin gives accommodation at about CNY 700–1,500 per month, without a programme-by-programme room allocation. Water and electricity are referenced separately at CNY 100–250/month, according to actual use. Obtain the room category, contract period, campus and availability from the university; no annual total or guaranteed room is inferred.

The reviewed current bulletin does not establish a programme-specific kitchen or specialised-meal guarantee. Discuss dietary requirements and cooking access for the assigned campus and residence with the International Students Office before making housing arrangements.

The current checklist requires a stamped health examination, hair drug testing, a recent police certificate and a handwritten signed declaration. The university’s 2026 college report also describes safety education and emergency drills. Use the official university process and obtain current residence and emergency contacts.

The International Students Office publishes iczafu@163.com and +86-571-63926893. The 2026 college report describes support through student representatives, class teachers, counsellors and the college, together with an advising conversation room and cultural-learning activities.

## Frequently asked questions

### Which English degrees are supported?

Fourteen current undergraduate routes: International Economics and Trade; Computer Science and Technology; Civil Engineering; Digital Economy; Mechanical Design-Manufacturing and Automation; Electronic and Information Engineering; Urban and Rural Planning; Wood Science and Engineering; Forestry; Veterinary Medicine; Furniture Design and Engineering; Accounting; Horticulture; Tea Science. No English master is packaged without delivery evidence.

### How long are the programmes?

The 2026 international bulletin states four years for the listed undergraduate routes. Specific international plans separately distinguish nominal four years from flexible three-to-six-year completion windows. Veterinary Medicine is explicitly a four-year international academic route; domestic or overseas programme lengths are not substituted.

### Why do some old pages describe Chinese after year two?

The still-linked 2016 pages described English years one–two and Chinese years three–four for four majors. The complete 2025 list names those routes among ten English majors, and the university’s May 2026 report explicitly calls its ten-major 2025 portfolio fully English-taught. The fresh 2026 bulletin again states English delivery. The dated source reconciliation is preserved in the audit.

### Will I need Chinese or CSCA?

Several specific international plans, including Veterinary Medicine, Wood Science, Planning, Forestry, Computing, Mechanical and Trade, require HSK 4 at graduation. Do not infer that English study is Chinese-free. The reviewed 2026 bulletin does not establish exact programme CSCA papers or an accepted-score table; ask ZAFU for current requirements rather than borrowing another university’s subjects.

### What English scores are required?

The current bulletin requires a language proficiency certificate but does not establish a numeric IELTS, TOEFL or Duolingo threshold. Confirm accepted evidence directly. Old pages or another institution’s scores are not imported as current ZAFU requirements.

### What age and nationality conditions apply?

The published age range is 18–28. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with valid ordinary foreign passports. Specified Chinese-parent or former-Chinese cases require nationality/residence review; the four-year nationality and two-year residence conditions are not blanket requirements for every foreign applicant. Chinese wording controls discrepancies.

### Which documents are required?

The checklist includes academic certificates/transcripts with translation and notarisation, passport pages, language evidence, family-information form, financial statement, police certificate within six months, stamped health form valid six months with hair testing, signed handwritten no-drug-history commitment, a self-introduction video of at least two minutes, fee proof and the specified ID photo. Bring originals for university verification.

### What are the verified tuition and other fees?

Published 2026 English-UG tuition is CNY 20,000/year. Application is CNY 600 and insurance CNY 1,000 for 12 months, purchased before arrival as instructed. Housing is about CNY 700–1,500/month; utilities CNY 100–250/month by usage. Textbooks are referenced at CNY 300–500/year, student-union dues CNY 200/year and medical check about CNY 714. Confirm later-intake charges.

### Are scholarships guaranteed?

No. The bulletin describes provincial and university awards with annual assessment. Its promotional funding language is not treated as a guaranteed tuition discount or an admission entitlement. The standard CNY 20,000 annual fee remains visible; applicants should obtain the actual award terms and decision before budgeting on financial support.

### What is the next intake?

The published degree application window was 15 April–30 June 2026 and is past. September 2026/March 2027 references appear in the Chinese-language-teachers scholarship section, and the new March 2027 notice is nondegree Chinese study. An exact new degree-intake month or 2027 degree deadline is not established in the reviewed source.

### Where will I study and live?

The current office address is 666 Wusu Street, Lin’an, Hangzhou. The bulletin names Donghu, Yijin and Zhuji campuses without assigning every listed major to a teaching or residence site. Confirm the exact programme campus and housing in the offer. The dated cover photograph shows Donghu Campus, not a promise of residence placement.

### What does the veterinary programme qualify me for?

The international programme profile explicitly awards Bachelor of Agriculture / 农学学士 after at least 130 credits and HSK 4, with nominal four-year study. This establishes an academic qualification description. It does not establish entitlement to professional clinical veterinary registration in a country of practice, and staff qualifications are not student awards.

### Who handles admission and which master routes are held?

ZAFU’s International Students Admissions Office is the sole university recruitment authority in the current bulletin. That is a university-authority/fraud warning, not an agency appointment. The graduate link leads to a two-year Chinese-plus-vocational cooperative scholarship scheme with HSK 5; it does not prove general English master delivery. Older degree lists are retained in the inventory, not promoted as current English availability.
