Meals are served in the dining hall in Pupul Jayakar Hall from a kitchen designed by chef Shaju Zacharia and run by institutional caterers; the mess charge is INR 82,500 a year and multi-cuisine meals are served. The hostels also have a vending machine, tuck shops and laundry rooms. A domestic Indian bank account is needed for everyday payments, and WUD assists with opening one after arrival.
Campus and hostels have 24-hour security, CCTV across academic and residential zones, and controlled entry and exit points. WUD states a zero-tolerance policy on ragging, harassment and discrimination and has a student welfare team. A campus infirmary has a full-time nurse and a doctor on call, with multi-specialty hospitals within a 10-15 minute drive. Health insurance is mandatory for international students. WUD's Office of International Admissions handles documentation, visa guidance, FRRO registration support, onboarding, orientation, IT and studio access, and sessions on Indian culture, safety and city navigation in the first week. It arranges airport pick-up from Delhi and help with the AIU equivalence certificate. First-semester international students are paired with senior students through a buddy system.
