Clinical exposure
The Faculty of Medicine and Health Care runs its own clinical academic department structure, including Departments of Clinical Disciplines, Clinical Specialties, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Surgery, General Medical Practice, Fundamental Medicine, Stomatology and Nursing, alongside a residency programme spanning more than 20 named clinical specialties such as General Surgery, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Neurology and Oncology. After the Medicine bachelor's degree, Kazakhstan's system requires a further mandatory one-year clinical Internship programme, listed by the university as a distinct programme code, before a graduate is fully qualified to practice. No specific named external teaching or base hospital is published on the Faculty's official pages; clinical training is described through these named academic-clinical departments and the residency specialty list rather than a single flagship hospital partner.
