The education routes combine academic study with professional practice. Educational Leadership and Policy is a Comparative Education route with leadership, planning and policy research; Higher Education and Student Affairs explicitly describes an MA with practicum and student-development/administration study. Relevant educational work is preferred rather than compulsory for these two routes. Philosophy studies Chinese traditions and comparative perspectives through core/elective courses and a thesis. World Economy and China combines economics, econometrics, international business/finance and social practice. Environmental Science explicitly awards an MSc and covers protection, management, assessment and environmental research. Chinese Law explicitly awards an LL.M., with Chinese/comparative law, an internship and thesis requirements. CCDS is a Master in Public Management with development, policy, governance and research-method content. Its current PDF title differs from the standing page’s DSCC label; this is kept as one verified academic route. Digital Media, Global Cultures and Communication uses multidisciplinary analysis of technology, society and media, with an English dissertation. BRS MBA/MPA use business or public-administration frameworks in an emerging-economy/Greater Bay Area context. Specific modules, practicum, research and field arrangements should be checked with the admitted school.
