Master's in Biomedical Engineering at Hainan University: Eligibility & Requirements

Use the exact degree and funding route when checking qualifications, age, language evidence and programme assessment. Scholarship eligibility is not automatic admission.

• Non-Chinese citizen holding a valid foreign passport, in good physical and mental health, meeting applicable nationality and university rules.
• A bachelor’s degree is required. The 2027 provincial scholarship route requires age below 35; Type B wording differs at age 35 and needs confirmation.
• English IELTS 6.0 with every component at least 6.0, or the exact published TOEFL threshold: paper-based 560 / internet-based 78; confirm boundary wording with the university.
• Certificate exemptions depend on the application route: regular/provincial rules refer to native or official English-language countries; Type B explicitly exempts native speakers.
• Meet the programme’s academic assessment and any further university requirements. Chinese-language study and graduation requirements remain applicable to English-taught degrees.
• Open to: International applicants meeting the exact regular or scholarship route rules
