Practical training & industry exposure
VMU's Faculty of Informatics delivers its computing bachelor's and master's tracks with strong applied and industry-facing components: the Informatics Systems bachelor's channels students into Software Systems, Artificial Intelligence Systems or Business Informatics specialisations from the later years of study, while the Applied Informatics master's is built around applied research projects in machine learning, data visualisation, neural networks, language technologies and digital image processing, preparing graduates for roles as software architects, data analysts or IT consultants. On the business side, the Faculty of Bioeconomy Development's Business Logistics master's is explicitly built around green supply chain and green logistics practice for Lithuania's large logistics and freight-forwarding sector, and its distance-learning Customs Process Management programme -- the first MBA in the customs field in Lithuania -- is taught by international lecturers with practical customs, tax and supply-chain experience and received the EU Customs Certificate of Recognition on 30 June 2025. The Faculty of Economics and Management's Sports Business MBA is run jointly with the Euroleague Basketball Institute, combining online modules with in-person sessions at Euroleague's Barcelona headquarters, at VMU in Kaunas, and at that year's Euroleague Final Four host city, giving students direct exposure to professional sports-business operations.
