Programming I & II, Calculus I & II, Data Structures & Algorithms, Digital Logic Design, Computer Networks, Web Technologies, Operating Systems, Computer Architecture and Database Systems, taught in hardware, IoT, computer and networking laboratories.
Years 3-4: Specialised Computer Science and Co-op
Software Engineering, Compiler Design, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Blockchain and Mobile App Development modules, integrated with three mandatory Co-operative Education summer work terms (480 hours/year) with employers such as USAID, GIZ, Coca-Cola and the OSCE Academy.

Practical training & industry exposure
UCA's Co-operative Education Programme, developed with the University of Victoria, Canada, is mandatory for every undergraduate: each student completes structured, faculty-supervised summer work placements across three consecutive summers, accumulating at least 480 paid-or-unpaid work hours per year, with academic terms and work terms alternating throughout the five-year pathway. UCA states it was the first university in Central Asia and Eastern Europe to implement a formal Co-op model. Named Co-op partners include USAID, the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), the Aga Khan Foundation, the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat, GIZ, the Institute for War & Peace Reporting, the Eurasia Foundation, Coca-Cola, the OSCE Academy and the American Chamber of Commerce, with over 400 positions announced for students in 2024 and named industrial visits to EPAM Kyrgyzstan and Coca-Cola Tajikistan. Computer Science graduates have gone on to roles including Software Engineer at Google and at io.net, and internships at USAID and the OSCE.
