Degree study at Shanghai Maritime University

Nominal 3-year English study under the approved programme plan. Source-supported subject context: Computer Technology; confirm programme-specific course/project plan. Confirm exact current classroom/practical/project arrangements with the faculty. Current 2027 catalogue explicitly English. Older 2022–23 official international-education report independently records the full-English Computer Technology master project. Do not transfer Computer Science academic curriculum, infer professional status/code or claim MSc/MEng equivalence. Ordinary SMU master requirements apply; supervisor-intention letter is optional priority material, not an admission guarantee.

Training & support

Practical training & industry exposure

The university describes maritime simulators and its 48000-ton Yuming teaching vessel. Transport-management study covers shipping, port operations, logistics and supply chains; navigation includes ship handling, watchkeeping and communications. The current WMU joint prospectus combines Shanghai classroom study, field studies and a dissertation, with an overseas study trip whose destination/dates need confirmation. These are programme and institutional opportunities, not a guaranteed berth, internship, partner award or seafarer licence. Confirm the individual practical and assessment plan.
