Electrical and Electronic Engineering is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and Mechanical Engineering by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), each meeting part or all of the academic requirement for Chartered Engineer registration depending on the BEng or MEng route. The BSc Computer Science is accredited by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. Surrey's Institute for Communication Systems runs the 5G/6G Innovation Centre with founding and member organisations including BT, Vodafone, Huawei, Samsung and the BBC, feeding directly into the MSc Intelligent Communication Systems and Networks and PhD Computer Science research. Surrey Business School holds AACSB and AMBA accreditation and delivers the MBA's applied consultancy phase with real client organisations. Surrey Law School runs mooting, negotiation competitions, law clinics and pro bono work alongside the LLB. Surrey's Professional Training placement scheme, one of the UK's longest-running, places students in industry for up to a year; 94% of Computer Science undergraduates and 94% of Hospitality and Tourism Management postgraduates were in employment or further study within 15 months of graduating (Graduate Outcomes 2024, HESA).
