M.A. Linguistics at Guizhou University: Eligibility & Requirements

Programme-specific catalogue conditions and the relevant admission or scholarship guide apply together. Use the exact degree code and language route when checking eligibility.

• Non-Chinese citizen holding a valid foreign passport, meeting the applicable Chinese nationality rules, and in good physical and mental health.
• For the 2027–2028 Type B route: bachelor’s degree or equivalent, strong academic results, age generally no more than 35, and GPA/CGPA at least 78%.
• Type B applicants must not already receive another Chinese government or admitting-university scholarship.
• English TOEFL 80 or IELTS 6.0 is required. The checklist also accepts English-medium study evidence; the university assesses whether it meets the route’s requirement.
• This exact programme additionally specifies HSK 5 with a score of at least 230 in the 2027 catalogue; the generic English-course rule does not erase this condition.
• The university reviews academic preparation and may organise a programme interview or comprehensive assessment. Admission and any scholarship remain selective.
• Open to: International applicants meeting the exact programme and application-route conditions
