MBA HR at Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli: Eligibility & Requirements

The 2026-28 domestic route shortlisted on CAT 2025 percentile; the overseas route set a degree and GMAT threshold.

• Domestic route: CAT 2025 total percentile cut-offs of 95.25 (General), 89 (EWS), 88.5 (NC-OBC), 75 (SC), 44 (ST) and 30 (PwD) for shortlisting
• Meeting the CAT cut-off was necessary but not sufficient; the interview, work experience and academic record also counted
• Overseas route: bachelor's degree with at least 50 per cent or equivalent CGPA; foreign degrees need equivalence certified by the AIU
• Overseas route: GMAT score of at least 640 out of 800, not older than two years on 30 April 2026
• Final-year bachelor's students could apply and join provisionally, with all degree results due by 31 December 2026
• Open to: Applicants admitted through CAT 2025 and the JAP 2026 interview process (domestic route)
• Open to: Indian and foreign nationals who lived, worked or studied outside India throughout 2025 (overseas category, GMAT route)
• Overseas category only: applicants must have lived, worked or studied outside India from 1 January to 31 December 2025; foreign nationality alone does not qualify.
• Overseas category only: a candidate expected to be present or residing in India on the CAT 2025 date, 30 November 2025, was excluded from that category.
• Both routes belong to the 2026-28 batch, which is closed; no 2027-29 PGPM or PGPM-HR dates or rules were published on the admissions pages checked.

Two routes exist: domestic selection by CAT percentile and interview, and the overseas route by GMAT and virtual interview. The institute's domestic pages state no nationality or minimum degree-mark rule, so none is asserted here.
