Training & support
Practical training & industry exposure
M.I.E.T. Engineering College (MIET) has been an autonomous college since 2024-25: UGC and Anna University granted autonomy for 2024-25 to 2033-34, so MIET writes its own Regulations 2024 curricula and conducts its own examinations, while Anna University approves and awards the degree. Theory courses carry 40 marks of continuous assessment and a 60-mark end-semester examination. AICTE makes an internship mandatory for every admitted student, and the 2026-27 calendar schedules industrial visits, guest lectures and value-added courses for each department. The training and placement cell runs aptitude, English and technical training, group discussions and mock interviews; the college reported a 93 per cent placement rate in its TNEA 2026 entry without stating the year or base.
