Practical training & industry exposure
Social Work combines academic study with supervised fieldwork and specialist practice in community, medical and psychiatric, or human-resource settings. Psychology and other postgraduate programmes have their own practical, research and applied components. Ask the department about supervision, placement allocation, assessment and travel expenses; participation does not guarantee a job or professional licence.
