IMU's most distinctive clinical asset is its own University Clinic, established in 2017 and operating under a Kyrgyz Ministry of Health license, with roughly 225 beds and expert-class equipment (including video gastroscopes and laparoscopic towers described on the university's official clinic page) across more than 2,300 square meters. Because the clinic is university-owned and on-site, medical, dentistry and pharmacy students get integrated, mentor-supervised exposure to real patients rather than relying solely on rotations at unaffiliated external hospitals. The official general-medicine curriculum spans either 5 or 6 years depending on the track, moving from foundational pre-clinical sciences into clinical training in the later years; applicants should ask IMU admissions for the specific rotation schedule, external teaching-hospital partners (if any), and simulation-versus-bedside training balance for their chosen track.
