The university’s specialist colleges describe work in agricultural and forestry systems, plant and forest protection, biomass processing, ecological restoration and related engineering. Its Juncao college links grass-based technology with ecology and sustainable development; the materials school describes wood products, biomass energy and chemical processing. These are academic environments, rather than a promise that every international student receives a particular laboratory place, field project, company placement or overseas visit.
