TCE has used the CDIO framework, Conceive, Design, Implement and Operate, for curriculum design, teaching and assessment since 2018. TVS Motors subject experts helped shape the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering curricula, and the college runs the T S Srinivasan Centre for Automotive Research with TVS Motors. As an autonomous college it designs its own curriculum and examinations while remaining affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. AICTE makes an internship mandatory for every admitted student.
