The six-year, 360-ECTS General Medicine programme runs theoretical subjects (biochemistry, biology, physics, anatomy, histology, physiology) in Years 1-2, preclinical subjects (pathophysiology, pathology) transitioning into clinical courses (surgery, internal medicine) in Year 3, department internships in Years 4-5, and supervised pre-graduation clinical practice in Year 6, including nine weeks of practical training during vacation periods. Clinical training is anchored at Ostrava University Hospital, supplemented by Ostrava City Hospital and the SIMLEK simulation centre. Students may pursue IFMSA research internships (from Year 2) and clinical internships (from Year 3) abroad, alongside Erasmus+ mobility to over 60 partner universities. Graduates receive the MUDr degree.
