Hostel facilities, Indian food availability, campus safety, and accommodation options at Academy of Maritime Education and Training (AMET).
Hostel arrangements and costs vary by room type and academic year. Confirm current availability and fees directly with Academy of Maritime Education and Training (AMET) before making any payments.
Accommodation overview
AMET publishes Hall of Residence guidance and describes campus hostels. B.E. Marine Engineering and B.Sc. Nautical Science are specifically residential degrees. Confirm the allotted hostel, room category, residence rules and current accommodation quote; the inactive academic fee download does not establish a residential price.
Food & daily living
The university has dining facilities and a Mess Committee for food-service feedback and hygiene concerns. Current menu, meal-package charges and arrangements for specific dietary needs require confirmation. A campus dining facility does not establish an allergy-safe or particular religious menu.
Campus & lifestyle
The university’s East Coast Road campus has workshops, a Ship-in-Campus training facility, indoor and outdoor sports facilities and a swimming pool. Student-welfare services include residence, health care, student council, cultural activities, NSS and NCC. The campus experience differs between residential maritime degrees and general academic programmes.
Safety & student support
The university lists a Health Care Centre, Anti-Ragging Committee and Anti-Ragging Squad. Its prevention measures include awareness activities, hostel/campus monitoring and reporting mechanisms. Maritime entry also requires certification from a DG Shipping-approved medical practitioner; this admission assessment does not establish a personal-safety guarantee. The Single Window Students Service Centre and student-welfare offices support academic and campus matters. The R 23 framework describes mentoring, including regular mentor meetings and student feedback. UCIR supports international students with orientation, administrative processes and grievances, but that service does not establish admission permission for every degree.
