What language are programmes taught in?
English. The Noida prospectus states that the medium of instruction is English and therefore makes English a mandatory subject at Class XII level. Undergraduate degrees also carry a compulsory four-part Foreign Business Language sequence in which the student picks one of Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Russian, Sanskrit or Spanish. Those are additional language modules, not the teaching language of the degree.
Do international applicants need IELTS or TOEFL?
Only where English was not a subject in the qualifying examination. In that case Amity requires TOEFL iBT 60 out of 120 or an IELTS band of 6.5, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Where English was studied, no separate language test is asked for. Academic transcripts must be submitted in certified English translation; transcripts in other languages are not accepted.
What are the entry requirements for foreign applicants?
Amity applies the same academic eligibility to foreign applicants as to Indian residents. Undergraduate entry requires twelve years of formal schooling plus the programme-specific Class XII subject and percentage thresholds. Postgraduate entry requires twelve years of schooling followed by a bachelor's degree of at least three years' duration, and Amity notes that postgraduate admission is restricted and expects a strong academic record. Every foreign qualification also needs an AIU or UGC equivalence certificate.
How does an international student apply?
Foreign applicants apply online only. The INR 1,500 application form fee is waived for foreign applicants. Receipt, shortlisting, selection-process scheduling, the admission letter and fee payment all run through the Amity admission microsite at portal.amity.edu. The exact commencement date, time and venue for each admitted student is stated in the individual admission letter issued through the admission microsite.
How much does it cost and how does the international fee work?
Foreign applicants are charged the Sponsored fee category. Add a one-time academic security deposit of INR 20,000, and campus logistics costs if taken.
Can the international scholarship be combined with a merit scholarship?
No. The prospectus states that a student cannot be in receipt of a combination of scholarship and concession, that only one type may be availed, and that the higher of the two applies. Published 2026 merit bands include 100 per cent for an International Baccalaureate score of 42 or higher, 50 per cent for 38-41, 100 per cent for SAT 1500 and above and 100 per cent for ACT 34 and above.
