Question 1

Which English master subjects are listed?

Accepted Answer

The general 2026 guide lists Foreign Language and Literature, Translation, Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Science and Engineering, and Ecology in English. They are three-year master programmes. English delivery does not remove the exact entry or graduation Chinese-language conditions for each subject.

Question 2

Can I study an English bachelor here?

Accepted Answer

The current general international guide’s bachelor rows are Chinese-taught. An English requirement in a Chinese-medium row does not change its teaching language. The profile therefore presents the verified English master options without inventing an English undergraduate route.

Question 3

Do the language and translation programmes require Chinese?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Foreign Language and Literature and Translation expressly require HSK 4 at entry, together with English listening, speaking, reading and writing proficiency. Their graduation requirement is also HSK 4. A general note that some English programmes do not require HSK does not override these exact programme rows.

Question 4

What English evidence do science applicants need?

Accepted Answer

Physics specifies IELTS 6.0 for non-native English speakers. Chemistry, Environmental Science and Engineering, and Ecology require English proficiency at the applicable Ministry of Education level, without a numeric certificate threshold in these rows. Confirm accepted evidence and assessment with AHNU; do not transfer the Physics score to every science subject.

Question 5

What Chinese level is needed to graduate?

Accepted Answer

The English science masters list HSK 3 for graduation. This is a completion obligation and is not presented as their English-route entry test. The two language-related masters separately require HSK 4 both at entry and at graduation. Confirm how the applicable programme organises Chinese learning and assessment.

Question 6

What qualifications and age are required?

Accepted Answer

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens aged 18 or above, in good physical and mental health, with no criminal record. Master applicants need a bachelor’s degree certificate and bachelor-level transcripts. The regular guide does not establish a universal maximum age or minimum GPA here; scholarship calls can have separate conditions.

Question 7

Which documents should I prepare?

Accepted Answer

Prepare a passport copy, application form, bachelor’s qualification and transcripts, two recommendation letters, research plan, physical examination report, non-criminal record certificate and financial-support proof, plus the exact programme language evidence. No unverified referee rank, research-plan word count, bank minimum or report-validity period is added.

Question 8

How does the application process work?

Accepted Answer

Apply through the official international student platform. AHNU reviews documents and conducts online interviews. The university issues pre-admission through the system; application payment follows that notice. Tuition and accommodation payment follow the Admission Notice, and visa-related documents are emailed after payment confirmation.

Question 9

When are applications and registration?

Accepted Answer

The 2026 guide listed fall applications from 31 October 2025 to 20 June 2026 and spring applications to 10 February 2026. These are historical windows. Confirm whether the exact route opens in the next cycle and obtain the registration date directly. An unexplained registration delay beyond two weeks can forfeit admission.

Question 10

How much are tuition and other charges?

Accepted Answer

Each supported English master row gives CNY 15,000 per academic year in the 2026 schedule. Application charge is CNY 400, insurance CNY 800/year and master quadruple accommodation CNY 1,000/year. Textbooks vary by programme. Confirm next-cycle charges and the final invoice rather than assuming a fixed deposit or scholarship discount.

Question 11

Can master students choose a double room?

Accepted Answer

The published CNY 1,200/year double-room option is explicitly doctoral-only. The master reference is a CNY 1,000/year quadruple room. Confirm current allocation, facilities and any later room options directly; a doctoral tariff does not prove master access to that room type.

Question 12

What scholarship support is available?

Accepted Answer

The university scholarship targets newly admitted self-funded degree students, with selection in early June based on academic merit. Its master reference is CNY 30,000 per academic year for up to three years, renewed subject to annual academic review. Government and Chinese-teacher scholarship routes follow separate eligible-programme and nationality rules. No award is automatic or deducted from the published tuition quote.

Question 13

Are Biology and Geography generally open in English?

Accepted Answer

A separate 2026 Silk Road scholarship call named English Biology and Geography masters, but its closed 17 May deadline, ten-country restriction and final programme/award approval conditions do not establish general self-funded access. India was outside that call’s named countries. Confirm a new applicable call and final programme identity; these two routes are not treated as general offerings here.
