Campus life, Indian student community, food options, and day-to-day living at Bangladesh Medical College in Dhaka.
The Dhanmondi campus houses four air-conditioned lecture classrooms with full WiFi, around 30 departmental tutorial rooms, eight subject laboratories, an air-conditioned Anatomy Dissection Hall, and an air-conditioned library seating 110 students with roughly 7,754 books and seven international medical journal subscriptions, alongside a 250-seat auditorium and separate common rooms.
The college operates a Dhanmondi hostel with furnished rooms, free WiFi, washing machine, refrigerator, TV, 24-hour security, a 24-hour attendant and CCTV coverage. Published foreign-student monthly rates run from USD 160 for non-AC rooms up to USD 190 for a single AC room, with double and triple AC rooms priced between.
Food service is included among the hostel facilities, though no separate mess-fee figure is published. Because the college's official tuition figure for foreign students is unavailable, daily food and living costs should be planned as a distinct budget line pending a direct fee quote from the college.
The college's hostel facilities include 24-hour security service, a 24-hour attendant and CCTV coverage. No dedicated international-student safety office or emergency-contact programme is separately published on official pages reviewed.
Foreign-student admission is coordinated centrally through the Government of Bangladesh's Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME) online portal, which sets the eligibility criteria, application window and seat allocation that Bangladesh Medical College follows for its foreign intake.
