Beijing Forestry University: FAQ

The central international catalogue separately lists the School of Forestry and School of Soil and Water Conservation, both offering the professional Master of Forestry in English for three years. These remain distinct school offerings under one course family. Research directions are not counted as additional degrees.

The catalogue prints Master of Management, Master of Forestry, Master of Agriculture Science, Master of Science and Master of Landscape Architecture, with native qualification wording retained privately. The 2027 planning brochure prints Master in Urban and Rural Planning (MUP). No unsupported MSc, MEng or MBA abbreviation is added.

The central master guide requires non-Chinese citizenship, age 18–35, an undergraduate degree and a valid passport. Its Chinese version specifies more than six months of passport validity. English routes accept IELTS at least 6.0, TOEFL at least 80 or equivalent; native English-speaking-country applicants follow the documented proof waiver.

The central guide separates Chinese-route HSK 4 from English-route proficiency. It does not establish CSCA as a master requirement. The current undergraduate guide explicitly requires CSCA, which is not transferred to these masters. Confirm any additional language or graduation condition with the academic school.

The current list includes passport, notarised highest education certificate, official transcripts, English evidence, study plan, non-criminal record, two recommendation letters and physical examination form. The general prospectus specifies at least 1,000 words for a graduate study plan, financial evidence for self-support and additional portfolio material for applicable art/design programmes.

The dated 2026 English-master reference is CNY 33,000 per academic year, with application CNY 800 and insurance CNY 800/year. Future-intake charges need confirmation. The new 2027 MUP brochure does not quote its own tuition, so its programme price remains on request rather than assuming the older reference is its confirmed 2027 fee.

The graduate PDF’s English and Chinese room labels and amounts conflict, including a single-room English figure of CNY 10/day. The general housing page lists double CNY 50–60/day/bed and single CNY 100–120/day/bed, excluding water and electricity. Confirm the actual room, term and rate in writing; no annual total is invented.

The complete central guide gives 15 June 2026 as the past application deadline and separate scholarship deadlines. Selected 2027 school brochures are already linked, but a complete new application calendar and exact start month are not established. No past deadline or generic Fall label is converted into an intake month.

The International College contact address is 35 Qinghua East Road, Haidian District, Beijing. The admitting academic school is retained for each route. School brochures describe field stations, forest bases, practical training or planning studios; confirm the actual teaching, fieldwork and residence assignment in the formal offer.

Applicants select the exact route in the official portal and upload documents. The International College first checks materials and may request updates; the application fee is paid as instructed. The academic school then conducts a second review. Admission and scholarship outcomes remain university decisions; programme listing does not guarantee a place or funding.
