Capital University of Economics and Business: FAQ

Yes. Each included English bachelor’s route specifies Mathematics CSCA, and the current undergraduate page requires CSCA results with applications. The mixed English/French translation route specifies Chinese CSCA and is held outside this portfolio. No CSCA requirement is copied into the English master’s application checklists.

English instruction does not remove Chinese study. China Overview and Chinese are compulsory, and English-route degree applicants must have some Chinese listening, speaking and writing ability. No fixed English-route HSK score is stated in the reviewed degree supplement. Chinese-route HSK 4/5 entry conditions remain separate. The translation master’s exact language pair and any subject-specific Chinese prerequisite need confirmation.

The 2026 bachelor’s matrix requires a non-Chinese citizen in good health, ordinary passport, age 18–35 and high-school qualification. Master’s applicants require age 18–40 and a bachelor’s degree or higher. Scholarship criteria can differ and must be checked separately. Financial guarantee, health and non-criminal evidence appear in the degree application checklist.

The verified 2026 guide required degree applications before 30 June, and that cycle has passed. The current FAQ describes March–June degree applications. CSC material describes November–March scholarship processing; exact new-cycle dates require a current notice. Do not use these general patterns as proof a selected programme is currently open.

The 2026 English-route tuition is CNY 21,000 per academic year for bachelor’s study and CNY 25,000 for master’s. Registration is CNY 800. Double accommodation is CNY 51 per bed/day; insurance CNY 800 per academic year or CNY 400 per semester. Confirm later-cohort fees. Scholarship students pay a notified admission deposit; no amount or refund rule is verified.

Bachelor’s nominal duration is four years, maximum six; English master’s nominal duration is two years, maximum five, under the linked international degree supplement. Completing the nominal years alone does not confer a degree: required courses, thesis/design, defence and other academic conditions must be satisfied.

English-route bachelor’s thesis/design and defence are in English; the thesis minimum is 5,000 English words with a bilingual abstract. English master’s thesis minimum is 20,000 words, with English defence and bilingual abstract. Master’s students also need one related paper published or presented publicly at a conference, with the specified first/corresponding-author status and CUEB affiliation.

No. CSC, Beijing Government and other awards have separate application and review rules. Beijing categories A/B/C cover different combinations of tuition, housing, insurance and living support; concurrent other government, organisation or university scholarships are excluded except one-off awards. The current CUEB Scholarship page says not yet open, so the President’s Scholarship name in the brochure is not a verified live offer.

The international admission office is at Hongmiao Campus, No. 2 Jintaili, Chaoyang, Beijing. CUEB also has its main Fengtai campus. Confirm the exact teaching and residence assignment for your programme; an office address or historical front-gate photograph does not allocate classes. The double-room fee is a per-bed daily quote, without a universal room guarantee.

The current international guide names Teacher Gao and Teacher Yang, with the School of International Education admission channel at Hongmiao. Apply through the official online system and monitor review and formal admission instructions. Students Traffic can help compare programme fit and prepare documents and questions; the university and scholarship authorities decide results.
