These are the most common questions Indian students and families ask before applying for B.Sc. Computer Science at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Tiruchirappalli. Covering admissions, fees, recognition, eligibility, hostel, career outcomes, and the India-return pathway — everything you need before making your decision.

Which Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan institution is this?

This is Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University at Samayapuram, Tiruchirappalli, using dsuniversity.ac.in. It is distinct from similarly named affiliated engineering or Arts and Science colleges, Perambalur deemed institutions and Dayananda Sagar University. Check the exact legal name and campus on your offer.

How long are these undergraduate degrees?

The current School of Arts and Science page groups these awards under three-year undergraduate programmes. Confirm the exact award title and curriculum on the admission offer; a similarly named four-year course on another page or an aggregator should not be substituted automatically.

What school qualification is required?

The university’s currently linked 2025–26 qualification sheet requires 10+2 or equivalent with at least 50% marks for all categories and Mathematics as a subject for Arts and Science. It also requires completion of age 17 at undergraduate admission. Obtain written confirmation for the admission cycle you are applying to.

Do the Commerce degrees have additional subject requirements?

Yes. The linked qualification sheet additionally requires Commerce and Accountancy at +2 for Commerce and related courses. Do not assume the general Arts and Science rule removes these subjects.

Does the Mathematics rule also apply to BA programmes?

The linked 2025–26 sheet states the Mathematics condition for Arts and Science as a group, without a separate BA exemption. Ask the university to confirm the current-cycle requirement for your exact BA degree before applying if you did not study Mathematics.

How should I budget for fees?

Many Arts and Science degrees have a named 2026–27 tuition amount per semester. Confirm the number of billable semesters and all additional charges directly. The schedule separately lists a ₹2,000 application fee, ₹10,000 one-time admission fee and ₹5,000 one-time establishment fee; accommodation and its application charge are separate. No full-course total is implied.

Is teaching language confirmed?

A programme-wide instruction and assessment language has not been established for these degrees. Ask the school for the language arrangements of the exact course, including language papers. The English website or a BA English title does not by itself establish the teaching language of every programme.

Are accommodation and meals available?

The university describes separate boys’ and girls’ campus logistics, several room categories, and vegetarian and non-vegetarian daily living. Confirm vacancies, room allocation, meal arrangements arrangements, billing periods and written refund terms. Academic admission does not guarantee campus logistics allocation.

Can an overseas applicant rely on these conditions?

The stated school-entry conditions and local fee table do not establish a separate foreign or NRI admission route. Overseas applicants should obtain a university assessment of qualifications, eligibility, category-specific fees and immigration arrangements before relying on an offer.
