Fuzhou University: FAQ

The ordinary master guide requires non-Chinese citizenship, a valid ordinary foreign passport, appropriate bachelor’s qualification, health and good conduct/no criminal record. It states master age generally not above 35 by 1 September 2026; confirm the next cohort’s reference date and any exception. Chinese-heritage applicants undergo nationality review.

TOEFL iBT 80 orabove or IELTS Academic 6.0 orabove is stated. A prior qualification taught in English can be supported by a university-issued medium-of-instruction certificate as a substitute. Applicants from countries where English is official need not submit English proficiency proof under the guide; confirm the accepted country/qualification evidence.

For English-taught graduation, the guide requires a certificate at Level 3 orabove under International Chinese Language Proficiency Standards. Confirm the exact accepted test/certificate and implementation with the college; this wording is not automatically relabelled as a particular HSK score. Chinese-taught entry requirements are separate.

Prepare notarised bachelor’s graduation/degree certificates or stamped pre-graduation proof and notarised full transcripts. Two associate-professor-or-higher references must contain all required details and signatures/seals. Supply the Chinese/English study/research plan, at least 1,000 under the published count convention, and personal biography; clarify words versus characters.

Provide passport, prescribed photos, medical form with required photograph/hospital seals, and no-criminal-record proof. Medical validity is six months and police proof is usually within six months. Other-language records need notarised Chinese/English translations. Nationality-review and self-funded offerholders have additional stated records; no guessed fixed bank balance is added.

Prepare two complete A 4 paper sets in the required order and confirm the current postal details with Teacher Zhao. The guide says formal applications require hard copies; email, fax and telephone applications are invalid. Electronic photos are sent separately as instructed. Academic-college assessment may include a video interview or academic test.

The ordinary deadline was 15 May 2026. Repeated Chinese sections and the English counterpart give 20 February 2026 for CSC; one Chinese paragraph retains an inconsistent 2025 year. Both 2026 windows are past. The guide says autumn entry is generally September, with individual registration in the Admission Notice. Confirm the next call.

The 2026 science/engineering master tuition is CNY 20,000/year and the application fee is expressly waived. Predominantly double-room housing is CNY 3,500/year and insurance 800/year, separate. Books, daily living, travel and other personal costs are additional. Confirm the next invoice and available room before committing.

CSCType B 10386 and provincial/university scholarships have their own selection and approval processes. Provincial/university support is awarded for one year and reviewed for continuation; the official notice controls the living allowance. No award is guaranteed. Self-funded offerholders provide the specified bank fixed-deposit and parent/relative guarantor records; confirm the required amount and guarantor arrangements.

Students Traffic can help compare the verified subjects, organise academic/language records and identify questions about the exact study period, qualification, teaching site, fees and accommodation. Formal applications follow the university’s prescribed process. Admission, scholarship, visa and degree decisions remain with the university and responsible authorities.
