These are the most common questions Indian students and families ask before applying for B.Sc. Computer Science at Jeppiaar University, Chennai. Covering admissions, fees, recognition, eligibility, hostel, career outcomes, and the India-return pathway — everything you need before making your decision.

Is this the same as Jeppiaar Engineering College?

No. This profile concerns Jeppiaar University at its official university domain. Jeppiaar Engineering College and other similarly named affiliated institutions have separate legal, degree-awarding and approval arrangements. Confirm the exact institution on your offer and invoice.

What is the university’s establishment date?

UGC lists 26 February 2021 as the establishment or gazette date, and the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette includes Jeppiaar University in the private-university schedule on that date. The university’s own profile describes establishment in 2022; the catalogue year follows the official statutory listing.

What undergraduate qualification is required?

The current admission page requires completion of 10+2/Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks. The B.Com page accepts a recognised board and states a preference for Commerce, Business Studies and Accountancy. Confirm any programme-specific subject assessment with the university.

What is required for the MSc courses?

The university’s current postgraduate admission rule requires a relevant undergraduate degree with at least 50% marks. The department must assess whether the precise prior discipline is relevant; do not treat a general postgraduate rule as permission for every undergraduate subject.

How should I interpret the fee amounts?

Where shown, native reported fee amounts are indicative first-year references from an exact named secondary-source row. They are not isolated annual tuition or an all-years total. Request the current itemised university quotation, additional charges and refund terms before paying.

Is teaching language confirmed for these degrees?

No applicable programme teaching-language policy has been established for these listings. The language labels are left blank. An English website, English subject or placement claim should not be treated as a guarantee of the language used for instruction and assessment.

Is campus logistics accommodation available?

The 2026 admission brochure advertises boys’ and girls’ campus logistics with air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned rooms and vegetarian/non-vegetarian menus. Obtain current vacancies, room allotment, charges and rules directly; academic admission does not guarantee a place.

Do aviation or sports degrees include a professional licence?

An academic BSc Aviation or BSc Physical Education degree does not itself establish pilot licensing or eligibility for a regulated teaching appointment. Check the separate requirements for the occupation you intend to pursue. Similar caution applies to professional forensic appointments.

Can overseas applicants use these eligibility conditions?

Only the published domestic school and relevant-degree conditions are established here. An overseas applicant needs a separate university assessment of qualifications, category, immigration requirements and fees before relying on an offer; no general international eligibility is implied.
